It would take one hell of a player to beat a 50% shoe game. It can be done, but not with counting alone (or at all for that matter!). I would leave this game alone if I were you.

as sonny said. that game is not worth your time.....
I was half shoed at a game once in vegas, when i saw the cut card go in at 50%, i cashed out and left the casino, it was during a 2:1 BJ promo too. Instead of flat betting I was counting and ramping bets, because the pen was around 65% to start with. 2:1 is a huge edge, but not enough for me to max bet off the top. I was watching the other 4 people at the table get mauled, they were all max betting and all of them were digging for cash every few shoes.... ugly.
even 66% pen is pretty marginal - unless you are doing something other than counting. if i can't get 1.3 decks or BETTER cut off on 6D, I go somewhere else: another table, another dealer, another casino, or home!

You left a game that was paying 2 to 1 on blackjacks? You have like 1.5% edge on that without counting...

Really.
Forget card-counting.
Bet table max and play BS as long as you can!
Take out a second-mortgage if you have to.
Cash out your 401K's and pay the penalty.
Play all 7 spots at table-max if you can.
Have your friends come down and play all 7 spots at each table.
Retire in 2 days if you can stay awake that long.
Not often one gets a game where flat-betting yields a +EV to the player and the more you play, the more you win.
I'm probably missing something here because such things don't exist on the planet I'm living on.
Otherwise that casino has long since gone bankrupt.
If it's still around, let me know, so I can buy my plane ticket tomoorow.

Define garbage? Dealer wins ties? Even H17, NDAS, D11, 1 split, No splitting aces, and you still have a good game.

2 to 1 BJ pay
I have played these promos in a 4d, 6d and 2d. On the 2d I played with 75% pen, heads up, with fine rules including surrender and did very well,I believe the edge on BS was 2%, not 1.5%
As to 50% pen on a normal BJ game,,, as an AP iIwould not bother, that is an insult on the part of the casino towards you. Unless they have a weak shuffle and you can cut a big slug to the top on the git-go.

Yeah at least a 2% gain on whatever the HA was. Even more in a 6D game for sure.
An extra half-unit every 21 hands or so is huge.
