Other Sports Bets (parlay, if bet, reverse, round robin)

My question is how everyone thinks about the more elaborate sports bets (parlay, if bet, reverse, round robin) - Are they good? when? I'm comfortable with the mechanics of each bet; I was hoping you all have an opinion as to if and when they are good bets.

Futures are good, but most parleys and other weird bets are bad. They can be good if you bet two things that are correlated (like an over/under and a moneyline).
