Rules at California Indian Casinos

I'm planning to visit some Indian casinos in Southern California. Does anyone know the blackjack rules at those casinos? Just basic info like dealer hitting soft 17s, resplitting pairs, doubling down on Ace and ten only or allowing 9 also, things like that. Any help would be appreciated. When I go to Vegas I find those kinds of rules vary from casino to casino so I'm never quite sure. Thanks.

The three I know of are Twin Pines (see my post from this week), River Rock in Sonoma County and Cache Creek.

Twin pines has low min, good penetration and six deck shoes.

River Rock has two rooms. The main room is often a $25 min so you can get screwed paying the rent on your seat at the table. MAKE SURE to go to the back room where the lower min tables are. Good rules there with adequate penetration except on weekends.

Cache Creek has good six deck shoes with decent penetration and favorable rules. Their single decks all suck so avoid them. Another Natural pays 6:5. double 10 & 11 only.

Later i will try Jackson Rancheria and Thunderbird. One of these daze...

I beg to differ on your assesement of river rock and casch creek. have played both many times. The pen is terribel when I have played , barley 67% on 6 deck shoe games at both places and you constantly have tour bus players jumping in and out with coupons. At river rock I actully had and older dealer who was either counting along with me or had noticed my bet spreads on a pos shoe go and report"tattle" on me to the PC after leaving for his break. Was barly able to get out of there before getting the tap. Would not recommed either place when Reno is only 90 minutes farther away IMHO.

Out in the Palm Springs area there are a couple of casinos where the dealer stays on soft 17 in double deck and 6 deck. Pen varies and I think you can double on any. Most casinos are H-17. Since there are many in Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego Counties, I would suggest purchasing a copy of CBJN from bj21.com

It kind of varies at River Rock. I fleeced then there my first time on a bad table ($600.00 for one hour) so maybe that skewers my assessment. Seems the penetration on weekdays in the side room (not easily found at first) is about 67%.

Twin Pines is good though. Just a hole in the wall with a tent. 75% penetraion low min but low max too (just $200.00). But those stakes work great for me. And the dealers are good looking women sometimes. Waitresses can be hot too.

Part of what shapes my assessment of games here is that the card rooms in the Bay Area really are awful. So they make places like River Rock appear at least half decent. Now Cache Creek is a beautiful place with about 67% penetration on six deck and standard rules. I won't play their single deck as it is 6:5.

Called Konocti reservation the other day and they also have five buck min tables of six decks. Have some single or double deck 3;2 too so says the pit crew. Can't remember which it was. But I've never been there. Could be they shuffle too much i just don't know.
