Default Gift cards for X-Mas

When you buy gift cards always see the manager for bulk deals . Last year Ruth Chris restaurants had a buy $40.00 gift card and pay $25.00 or maybe it was Max and Irmas . So we were sitting there and i said can i see the manager . Manager came over and said how can I help you ? I said " make me a deal on $2,000.00 worth of gift cards that I can hand out to my friends and business associates '. He said how much ?? I said $2,000.00 will be fine . He came back in 10 minutes and before he could say a word I said - " only tell me the deal if it is to die for ". He said $20.00 and i flipped him my Amex card and said done deal . It cost me 1/2 price to eat there for the next 6 months and it is money I would of spent at full retail but got a better price .Always argue the deal no matter what - first rule of Ferengi rules of acquisition or whatever that guy was on Star trek the next generation .Make yourself an AP deal player this christmas instead of paying anywhere near retail !!!!! know I think of it I could of maybe got them for $15.00 or maybe $17.50 - damn . It is the thrill of the deal and the close though - it is not about the money for sure !!!!

im confused, you got $2000 worth of gift cards for $1000? that doesnt seem right

i did that at chilis, but the deal was, when you buy a gift card for $25+ (not for every $25), you get a $5 gift card for yourself, and this promotion happens twice a year..

Default yes I did

they had the deal buy a $40.00 gift card and pay $25.00 for it . So he said if you buy a bunch you can have them for $20.00 each instead of the $25.00 so I bought 50 of them at $20.00 each and they had the face value of $2,000.00 and 50 cards times $20.00 equals $1,000.00 . very simple !!!!! You can find deals like that all over if you pay attention . Buco De Pepes a local chain of upscale italian restaurants here has spend $30.00 and pay $20.00 once a month and they send the coupon to your computer !!! How slick is that ??? By the way managers have huge discretions when it omes to specials and coupons - big time !!!!!
