I just got back from vegas this morning and thought I'd supply some info for what it's worth. This was a five day trip that my wife flipped for my 50th birthday present. The first day was pretty good for the most part we checked into the luxor and took a look around. I played a ten min table to check out the action damn h17 is a pain in the ass. In fact I think this was the one factor that really had a big effect on my game. I noticed most of the casinos have this rule if not all that I visited. I did the boulder highway casinos to search out better rules or penetration the rest of the day. I did notice if you go into the smaller casinos they really scutinize your play regardless of what you bet. I don't think they are use to players knowing how to play and even encourage stupid moves. I was about to say something back once but stopped short of it. I ended up at the V club and played some double deck which I'm not use to but had fun and made a little profit anyway. blackchipjim

I had a friend who used to wrok at the Luxor. He said they watch their blackjack games pretty close looking for counters. I don't suppose you felt any heat there?

You were sitting right in the middle of a good S-17 area

With Mandalay Bay next door, Trop, MGM and Monte Carlo all in the area, you had S-17 games available for between $10-$25 min all close by.

My wife and I also returned from a week in Las Vegas Friday. I found a great S/17 DD face-up game @ Treasure Island where we stayed, one table only with 25.00 min and 15.00 min in early morning hours. The other good game was so the 6 deck S/17 with late surrender was my alternative. I checked out Haras and several others but played at Treasure Island the most. We had a great time but varence was against me even with these good games. Losing must be great cover.
