Default Blackjack tournament, worth counting or all luck?

There is this blackjack tournament in my area.. $250 entry, $25,000 top prize you have to go through 2 rounds before the final round.

each round is 6 players per table, top 2 players advance to next round, then top person in semi finals advances to final table..

anyways the way it works is you play 21 hands each round, so for the first round you start with 1500?or 2000? in chips, and min bet is 25, max 500.. after 21 hands the two people at the table with the highest stacks move on to the semi finals..

and same happens there except i think you start with a slightly bigger chip stack.. and only one person moves on..

is it worth me going in there with the advantage of being able to count, or... is 21 hands not enough and just anybody BS player has the same chance of winning

Tournaments are all about proper bet sizing, and you need a good deal of luck as well.Without both these elements, you are dead meat.

Counting in tournaments is worthless. All about betting.

Default Counting is paramount in tournaments

Chips, not cards.
