The list you gave above is a list of running counts, not key words for memorized cards. I haven’t sequenced in a loooong time but when I did I used something like this:

http://www.thememorypage.net/cardbase.htm

I tweaked a few of them for myself but you get the idea.

Default And what about this?

Sonny,

What do you think this?

The MIT has a similar list where they pegged any card towards a word.

That I already have memorized, You also have the journey approach. Distributing data mentally in different rooms in your house. I always store the jacks in jack in the box here at Nellis Bonanza.

Thanks for your help to me,

Stork

You don't need to sequence at 1-2D, you only need the key-card. No mnuemonic devices needed. zg

But for 6 decks I would like to have trained that memory so I can really get some powerfull information when I am playing there. I know that for 1 and 2 deck you do not need that but as your favourite student I am looking forward for getting an iron memory....

By the way Sonny...why that reference link of you is using this....

2 of spades = 21 = net. Why not directly linked to the word net. That is what the MIT list looks like too. By the way that can be downloaded for free at their website. Do I miss something?

It looks good, but I don’t know if it will work well for cards. The binary system is better for remembering large sequences of numbers, but it doesn’t retain the information for suits. That is very important with sequencing.

I prefer the peg system. It gives you good images and the peg words can easily be related back to the card because they sound similar. That is the system I used to use.

The journey approach is good for remembering several sequences. You can put three people in each room (two key cards and the target card) and have them standing in the right order. I’ve never tracked multiple sequences, but that is how I would do it if I ever did.

My mistake. I didn’t know it was publicly available. I will fix your post now.

The 19th hole on a golf course is slang for the "club house" where you pound a few back with your buddies and talk about those two great shots that made you look like Tiger Woods while ignoring the other 102 bad shots. So this reference would make sense to a regular golfer.

I can see how it would be easy to memorize the numbers, (21=2 of spades, 52=5 of hearts, 93 = 9 of clubs, 64= 6 of diamonds), but remembering an individual word for each combination, that seems kind of tough.
