Default Grand Victoria Casino

The one by Cincinnati has been giving AWESOME comps lately. I mean, ****ing awesome. Free room and some meals for 4-6 hours of play at $5 table. Late surrender too. I think they're getting killed by Argosy. $3 video blackjack with 3 to 2, no good video poker. 8 and 6 decks right next to each other, $5 tables available all but maybe a few hours on Saturday. I think the 8 deckers have blue decks and 6 have red. 2 deck game is $25 minimum, D10 no mid-deck entry I believe (I sure as hell didn't play it).

Poker room is total ****: almost no players (1 10 handed $5-10 game on a Saturday night, nothing after 1 AM), $5 rake, $1 an hour comps, piss poor dealers, not really aggressive players, but small pots. No calling stations to pick on. Nice space, big tables, but shitty otherwise.

I will often make the extra 20 minute drive when I am in the area go past Argosy to the Grand Vic. Argosy offers a decent shoe game (all things considered), but Grand Vic is often a lot less crowded it seems to me.

good luck

last i was in that area Argosy was supposed to expand their operation. dunno if that ever happended. i used to like to spread my action amongst the three casino's in that area. has Argosy went to late surrender since Grand Vic did?
seemed the best conditions between the three joints was Argosy around 3am.

The main problem with Argosy is its crowded as hell, and you can't find a shoe game for $5 much of the time. I haven't seen Argosy advertise late surrender, so I don't think they have it. But I also haven't asked or tried to surrender a hand.

They didn't have LS at Argosy on the tables I was playing at a few months back...for what that's worth.

Argosy does not have late surrender but the amount of tables is higher.

GV has late surrender.

Belterra has only a few tables open at a time and does not have surrender, but their hotel is the best in the area.

Argosy is working on their new boat which is due to open in 2009. the thing is huge.

Of the three casinos, I have always done best at Argosy.

With the exception of not having LS, it seems to me that Argosy has the best blackjack environment for non-high rollers.

I'd give that "award" to Grand Vic for craps because the tables are typically less crowded...which gives me more opportunities to shoot.

good luck
