Default Louisville Riverboat Gambling

There's riverboat gambling in Louisville, KY. Has anyone played there? I'll be in Louisville for a pool tournament in January and am wondering if it is worth a visit. Any comments would be appreciated.

The closest to Louisville is Caesar's Indiana and it was one of the crappiest casinos I have ever been to..

and the rules were pathetic.

They have 8 deck shoes, crap pentration H17, standard rules

Tight DD rules including Double 10/11 only, no resplitting of pairs no DAS, no surrender, 30% penetration, dealer hits soft 17

overall the worst casino I have been to this year.

I was offended by how bad the conditions were.

I've never made it down all the way to the Belterra, which is between Louisville & Cinci...but may be a tad closer to Louisville. I don't know if anyone around here has info on the conditions there, you may want to check that one out.

good luck

Let's see, 6 deckers, S17, Das, average penetration if I remember correctly. I don't remember any 2 deck, but if its there, it's probably 10-11, NDAS, $25 min.

They have a couple 2 deck shoe games. I can't remember if it's DOA or only 10/11, but I remember DAS and I think H17.

There was only one 6 deck on the main floor with $25 min, S17, DOA, resplit to 4 hands. Everything else was 8 deck with the same rules and $10-15 mins. And there was also one CSM with a $5 min.

Has anyone been to the Riverboat casino that is no more than 30 miles from the Louisville airport? It must be in or nearly in Louisville.

That would be Caesar's, across the river. The hotel isn't too bad, but the boat was small inside. The tables were jammed together and looked cheap. I actually drew blood on an exposed bolt on one of the table legs - my first blackjack injury.

Is Caesar's the games you described above?

Caesar's was the game described by Preston. The ones I described was Belterra, which I like a lot more. It's a newer casino that seemed to have a Borgata feel to it.

Perchance it changes from time to time. On the other hand, no competition, no change.
