Default A few counting questions.

Is it possible to use an electric device to help you count at first? I have seen them advertised where they look like a car remote. Also, are most casino's linked up with each other? I am talking about AC and a friend told me that when you give your rating card it all logs into one main account that all the casinos can track. He seemed pretty sure but I doubt it.

It is possible but, it is illegal in every country that I know of. Casinos don’t mess around when it comes to cheating either. They will prosecute to the full extent of the law, and they have good lawyers (and probably a judge or two in their pocket).

I’ve seen those things too. They’re worthless. All they do it keep the running count for you, which is very easy to do after enough practice. They don’t tell you how to bet or how to play. A mediocre card counter can do much better than a bad card counter with one of those illegal computers.

No, not from the rating cards. If you apply for casino credit then they will check a shared database to make sure your credit is okay, but they usually don’t share player information unless you are a cheater (and even then it is just an optional courtesy). Unless the casinos are owned by the same company they don't share much information.

There are 4 casinos owned by Harrahs and 3 by Trump, both of which have a common system among their casinos. However, I did experience a surprise "linkage" twice, when I was backed-off immediately upon sitting down at 2 unrelated places that apparently had advance warning about me from their computers, just from swiping my player's card. So, it does happen.
