If you said 10,2 you are correct the 10,2 are both cards that don't help your hand so killing them is a good thing when you got 12. If your hand was made up of 7,5 those are both card that would help your hand if you drew them giving you a pat 17 or 19 if you drew them. I'm surprised that nobody said none of the above because basic stragedy says stay on 12 vs a 4.
