Default Frugal Video Poker

I bought the Frugal Video Poker software recently. I want to create a strategy chart for a DDB game different than the ones available on the program. The DDB game I have close to me has two different payouts than the DDB that returns 98.98. How do I create a strategy chart for this? I tried editing the charts of the 98.98 payout, but I could not find where it said to create new strategy chart.

thank you

First, use "Machine / Choose Machine" to pick a game that is similar to the one you want to analyze. Hint: You may need to click the "View All Machines" button at the bottom of that screen. There are lots of games in the list.

Then edit the paytable by clicking "Machine / Change Payoff Table"

Edit the appropriate entries. (For Bonus style games, be sure to
check all the appropriate four of a kind payoffs, with kickers, etc.)

Click the "Analyze" button, which will prompt you for a name for the newly saved game. Once all this is complete, you'll have the custom game in your list and can use all the usual tools for practice and viewing the strategy.

One last note... It's not immediately obvious that this process is successful, because the selected game doesn't immediately switch to the new paytable. Instead, once the analysis is finished, you must return to Machine / Choose Machine to pick the custom game out of the list.

Thats the reason I was getting confused because I was changing the payoff tables and clicking on analyze game, but it did not seem to do anything. I Just figured I was doing something wrong

Thank you

I don't know why you would want to play a game with a 1% house advantage, though. Unless it's sextuple points day and they give .25% cashback. Even then it would be worse than counting or poker.

If you'll read the initial post more carefully, avs21 said the following:

He's specifically NOT playing the 98.98 version.

Here in Mississippi, there are several casinos offering a 10/6 version of DDB that returns 99.96% before cashback, coupons and promotions.

We regret the error. And I have no idea where to look. I know wizardofodds has some links to payout calculators; they might at least give you an idea of what the return is on the paytable.

The DDB game Ken mentioned with the 99.96% return is the one I will be playing.

Default 5-Card's site/Non-Nevada Juristictions

5-Card's site has been around for a long time. He has about every VP paytable currently on any casino floor listed with the ER in one section. This helps confirm manipulating the standard issue paytables in various software:

http://videopoker.fws1.com/index.html

He also has a wrong strategy used page that really points out what it costs you using a correct, but wrong strategy. Another good page is his royal progressive page.

Yep, good old IGT came up with several paytables just under 100% for those juristictions that insist. This includes the DDB 10/6-40sf version mentioned and the 15/11/4/4 Deuces game.
