Angry Getting your ticket punched in a venue

This happened to me two weekends ago. Don't let it happen to you!

Six backoffs in 48 hours, various degrees of severity.

#1- Winning big, rudely backed off, invited to a backroom (I wouldn't go) and banned from all table games while playing a BJ derivative. Dealer was blowing a rule, to my advantage. Banned there before, beaten them many times before.

#2- Losing BIG, very rudely banned from BJ. Exchanged F's with a shift manager. This was mostly my fault- because I was losing I abandoned cover betting in exchange for more EV, hoping my losses would serve as cover. They didn't and the crudeness of the PC aggravated me to the point of cussing back. Been banned there before.

#3- Losing a little, politely backed off from a place I've been banned a few times before.

#4- Losing a little, rudely backed off and banned from all table games.

#5- Winning moderately, gentle spread, moderate cover- escorted! This was the creepiest one of all. A locals joint, never played there before, all dealers and PC's were old ladies, and as soon as I bought in they all gave me these horrible looks, a mix of shock, anger, and disgust, like I had exposed myself or something. In about 20 minutes out comes security, and out I went. I probably should have exposed myself.

#6- Losing a little, locals joint, never been there before, very friendly, polite backoff.

Surprising part- a place I've been douched out of several times before gave me no heat, decent EV, big wins.

Now I'm wondering what the heck happened. I've never been banned from anything but straight BJ, so I suspect they may have mistook me for someone else they were familiar with, possibly a cheater. But I think my ticket is punched there, at least for a while. No great loss as the best games seem to be gone.

Good lord Was this in AC and all in a single two-day weekend?

What did all the backoffs have in common that warranted all the badluck?

Reminds me of "It was an accident, Your Honor. The gun just went off." "Six times?" he replies lol.

How is it you keep getting banned from the same place but seem to be allowed to come back so many times? How's that work?

Yep - photos showing those cute little chimp ears are posted up in the surveillance areas upstairs everywhere in that town.

I had a bad feeling you weren't talking about getting your parking validated.

These weren't all common ownership places, were they?

And by default, how do you usually handle a backoff, anyway? I'm generally pretty laid back about it. But two of mine were cordial, and the third, the guy looked afraid I was going to punch him, so they weren't particularly dodgy.

Course, three of those places you've been banned at before. Maybe they actually recognized you. Did you recognize any of the PCs?

You probably should have. That's rule #3 of advantage play. Did your action seem far far greater than what this last little joint would generally handle? Maybe they thought you were a drug dealer.

Don't most casinos welcome that kind of player?

Default I feel your pain

I have noticed some of casinos in vegas mostly the smaller ones act really wierd when you walk in. I think the smaller ones are crazy and act like you came in to rob the place. I sat down at the only bj table in a small casino last year and really had a goold laugh. I played the tourist act for just one shoe and even then I was the center of the casino's entertainment. I just played correctly and they were amazed that someone knew how to play correctly. I didn't stay because I don't do well on stage and started to laugh too much at the whole scene. blackchipjim

It does sound like AM is a little more famous than he wants to be!

Don't go there very often. Don't use a player's card. It can be done.

After recently suffering my first backoff on an excellent game, I would like to ask AM how long I should wait before going back. I'm going back to this specific area next month, but I'll probably stay away from the casino that backed me off for a while longer.

Very interesting that you have been able to return to places where you've been backed off before. Did any of the properties tresspass you?

The casino full of ladies was also interesting. I've had the worst luck when the pit critters are white haired old ladies. They seem to be more motivated to catch counters. I guess they have something to prove.
