FBI whistle-blower Sibel Edmonds told the London Sunday Times in January, 2008 that a court order muzzling her protects people who sold nuclear secrets to a Turkish-Israeli network. The Liberty Coalition attempted to acquire, through the Freedom of Information Act, a Justice Department file ( 203A-WF-210023) that would verify her story. The FBI responded that the file did not exist, but then the Times came up with a document that proved that the file exists. A Justice counter-intelligence unit had been investigating the network since 1996. The document states that the Turks had been warned that Brewster Jennings was a CIA front working to stem nuclear proliferation.

Edmonds learned through translating tapes that a senior State Department official and senior Pentagon people were selling information to the Turks and others. The State Department official was useful in obtaining the release of four foreign operatives who had been rounded up after 9/11.

Secrets were sold to Turkish officials and people connected with the American-Turkish Council. Sometimes, Turks bought information on the behalf of the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence( ISI). Some of the secrets went to Saudi Arabia. Edmonds said it was clear that the Turks and Israelis had planted moles in US military and scientific operations.

I'll second that. There needs to be a full congressional investigation of just how far the CIA has been allowed to go without accountability to Congress, and in some cases, the executive branch itself. They need to be reined in and clearer rules of engagement and stiffer penalties for noncompliance developed to hamstring the runaway CIA and other intelligence agencies. They are supposed to be agents of our government, not a government unto themselves, and their brothers in crime, whoever they may be. I'm really sick of the duplicity in our government and the notion that this is just the way things are and have to be. It isn't and it doesn't have to be. Talk about an abrogation of our freedoms and representative form of government. We might as well be Russia or China for all the respect our constitution, laws, and rights are given. Vote for Ron Paul. We might then have a splinter of a chance.

Key Clinton Backer Guilty in Sibel Edmonds Case

The UK's Times has already run three bombshell articles on the nuclear black market element in the case of former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds this year, and we are expecting more fallout in the near future as new evidence and witnesses come forward.

In the meantime, another important angle to Edmonds' case has opened up. Earlier this week, the New York Post ran a Page 6 piece, ODD FILM BY HILLARY BACKER, which highlights the close relationship between Hillary Clinton and Chicago-based Turkish businessman Mehmet Celebi.

Celebi, "one of the national leaders of the Turkish-American community in the US," is a key fundraiser for Clinton, and is one of Clinton's Chicago delegates to the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Celebi was also heavily involved in the controversial 2006 movie "Valley of the Wolves: Iraq" which has been widely regarded as "anti-Semitic, anti-American, conspiratorial agitprop."

Mehmet Celebi is also a key figure in the Sibel Edmonds case - he is heavily involved in the narcotics trade in the US and the corruption and bribery of high-level US officials.
