The Madness of John McCain
February 11, 2008 Issue
The Madness of John McCain
A militarist suffering from acute narcissism and armed with the Bush Doctrine is not fit to be commander in chief.
by Justin Raimondo
John McCain’s reputation as a maverick is no recent contrivance. The senator first captured the media spotlight in September 1983, not long after he’d been elected to his first term in the House, when he voted against President Reagan’s decision to put American troops in Lebanon as part of a multinational “peacekeeping” force. One of 27 Republicans to break with the White House, the freshman McCain made a floor speech that reads as if it might have been written yesterday—by Ron Paul:

Vote for what you want, America!
Want war with Iran?
Vote for Romney or McCain;
Want poll-based policy on the military?
Vote for Barack Obama or Hillary;
Want troops from everywhere recalled?
Vote for Ron Paul!

Perot isn't a Hillary hater, but he's not a fan either, relating the bumper sticker he received that reads: "Monica Lewinsky's Ex-Boyfriend's Wife for President."

McCain's Bill to improve health care…in Mexico!
February 6th, 2008 ·
The health care mess in the United States is a top concern of voters. Too many Americans find that, despite their best efforts, they are unable to provide quality health care for their families. Too many Americans live in fear that an illness might leave them destitute. Too many Americans spend years sacrificing to pay skyrocketing premiums only to discover that, when the need arises, their policies offer protections that are next to worthless.
Most of us agree that it’s simply not right that so many Americans, sincerely trying their best to provide for their families, are at the mercy of a phalanx of greedy insurance companies, medical malpractice lawyers, health care corporations, and other profiteers that have used decades of influence in Washington to institutionalize their chomp hold on the public jugular.
What would Americans think, then, of a member of Congress who introduced legislation, not to improve health care in the United States, but to improve health care in Mexico?
Insane? Drunk? Unworthy of public office?
What would Americans think, then, of a bill introduced in Congress that required federal agencies to come up with a plan, not to expand health coverage in the United States, but to expand health coverage in Mexico?

My biggest fear with John McCain as President is that he will continue the Bush agenda for continued war in the middle east and who knows where else. Iran is a likely target for expansion of war, as the administration has often hinted. The flow of oil is not reason enough for the loss of one human life. The masquerade of liberating the poor Muslim people just does not hack it as a justification for new wars.
When another country or group actually threatens the life and limb of the American populace, giv'em the gun--but until then let our neighbors around the world work out their own problems without our uninvited intrusion. The military is for self defense, not for molding the world in our own image and likeness.
It would be nice if all the world were democratic, but it's not our job to make it happen except by our example and through our interaction in free trade and our helping hand in times of emergency.

MORAL OBLIGATIONS TO STOP McCAIN
Patrick Briley
February 19, 2008
NewsWithViews.com
The U.S. has had Presidential candidates and Presidents who were known criminals, prevaricators and very immoral, promiscuous men who harmed national security. John McCain is no exception. However, does the public and do Republican delegates and leaders really want to pay the same costs in the future of America for McCain that they paid in the past for nominating and helping elect illicit Presidents?
This article contains a description of many of the known crimes, moral transgressions and allegations of nuclear treason by John McCain. Some of these crimes may have been felonies and if so, would have also made McCain ineligible to be President should he have been prosecuted (as he should have been) and convicted.

Where does allegation cross the bridge to libel?
If I had a dime for every story about felonious and immoral things politicians did I'd be richer than Rockefeller. Let's see where should we start? George Washington? Abraham Lincoln? JFK? Heck, why bother? Nobody is going to give me a dime anyway.

Uhh... OK
First time I ever saw an article written just to promote a banner ad!
"Patrick Briley is a Navy Viet Nam era veteran who served on a Polaris ballistic missile nuclear submarine patrol in the Pacific. His Polaris submarine patrol in far East Asia near China was historically significant and exceptionally dangerous.
His Naval service was from 1968 to 1976 during the Viet Nam era...."
