Wendover all single?
The recent bj conditions papers has Wendover with 72 tables at the Montego, Peppermill and Rainbow and they are all single deck with a $5 minimum.
I would think they would have some higher mins just because higher bettors like to get away from the lower bettors and I am really surprised there are no 2,4 or 6 decks shoes.
It has been so long since I have played single deck it will really take some adjustment. Does this information on the tables sound correct?

Yes info is correct. They also have some quarter tables.

Almost all, but
There is one double deck game in Wendover. It's at the Red Garter and is $5 min. As SM said the Peppermill properties have $10 and $25 mins.

Isn't it something like 7 hours? And it's not exactly the most exciting terrain either, although you might have some interesting experiences on the Extraterrestrial Highway (RT 318).

I just can't figure driving times for the West. In NYC, a forty five minute drive can be ten miles, while out there,I know people that drive 125 miles to a dart match.Ever leave a bar in Kingman and get to a bar in Laughlin thirty minutes before you left the Kingman bar? Its a bit disconcerting.

Wendover is 90 minutes west of Salt Lake City. Even though I subscribe to CBJN, it was not until this thread that I realized that the whole town is SD. Interesting....

To stay with this thread since we are talking SD; I can't believe they won't shuffle up on you when (and it will happen) you get three rounds per deck playing with one other person and this happens:
You bet a dime and win.. count goes up a little
You bet twenty and win.. again it rides and count goes up
You bet forty
I remember a place in AC that was always doing that pref shuffle with a good count and letting me eat the bad counts.
If they pull the shuffle routine could you just sit one out when they want to feed you that bad round.

Was this a shoe game in AC? Preferentially shuffling a shoe isn't often mentioned, it's more common in pitch games.
I've been preferentially shuffled up on blatantly once, at Slotsafun, but two different dealers back to back at their DD game. Needless to say I was annoyed. But that was the point I guess.
There's two ways to preferentially shuffle:
1) Shuffle up if the bet gets raised
2) Shuffle up if the count is good
Obviously, #2 is more damaging, and it requires a dealer that can count.

If the dealer is counting and preferentially shuffling based on the count, wouldnt it be fairly easy to make lots of talk with the dealer and ask your card total and question payoffs and such? I no just from practice that being the dealer and trying to count at the same time isnt necessarily an easy task and lots of little distractions i would think would make it pretty hard for the dealer to keep the count. Then again, i've never be shuffled up on so i wouldnt really no.
