Default Health Care

Hillary is an advocate of public paid health care. I was wondering what is your opinion on it?? In canada and england they have it, but they also have lots of problems - like waiting months to see a docotor for one. What are the pros/cons of gov't paid health care?? Are we better with it or trying to fix the system as it is now?? And what makes Hillary think that it would work here??

Anything the government does costs two to three times more than the private sector. We have a system that works already. It's expensive in terms of high premiums, but it is far cheaper than anything the government can do.

I have worked with homeless people. They have no trouble obtaining first class hospital care (George Washington University Hospital in Wash, DC.), and I have seen one person who contracted aids finally transferred to a well run nursing home in Clinton, MD where he passed after several months.

I know of doctors who work free to patients in a primarily Hispanic area of the city. I'm sure they aren't the only instance of this. It would be nice for the poor to have better access to specialists and even general practitioners. That would just be enhancing the safety net that already exists. But there is no need to tear down what's working fine already and erect an even more costly system. I am opposed to Hillarycare.

Socialized medicine is the only way that economically=challenged citizens can get it. On the other hand allopathic medicine is dangerous crap and socializing healthcare may further impede the economics of holistic care. zg
