I play AC frequently, and as of mid january which is the last time i went since im laying low for a few weeks these are the games

Hilton 8 deck- DAS S17 penetration varies by dealer 1.2-1.8 decks cut off
-Match the dealer side bet available on some tables
-10 dollar tables offered most of the day
-Some 25$ tables allow midshoe entree which makes it easy to backcount since few peopel play them
-I beleive if you have a hilton card you can get free transportation on the jitney cars all around town which saves on parking
-serves "always dolphin safe" tunafish in their restaraunt which i find funny

Tropicanna 8 Deck- DAS S17 Penetration varies by dealer 1.5-2.3 decks cut with two decks being the norm but you can find better if you shop dealers.
-10 dollar tables on slow nights mostly 15s on busy nights 25 dollar tables are available with midshoe entree allowed, but usually all 25 and up are no midshoe.
-Has a Hooters restaraunt

Trump Plaza 8 Decks DAS S17 2 decks cut off, and some 6 decks with 1.5-2.0 decks cut off also DAS S17
-The six deck games suck cause i think the dealers think they have to cut two decks for every game.
-Typical minimum is 15 for the low limit pit 10$ games can be found sometimes, all 25ers are no midshoe unless the low limit pit its upto 25 then it is allowed there, but this only happens on very busy nights.
-I think lucky ladies is available here
-Offers single deck 6:5 payout

Ceasars 8 decks DAS S17 penetration is pretty consistant at 2 decks occasionally slightly less They also offer 6:5 single deck but we all know that game is stupid and you should only play it if you intend on deliberatly spilling your drink on the table while you play.
-ceasars has a very limited number of tables and 10$ tables are never found, although when the minimum is 25 for the whole casino midshoe entree is allowed in some of the pits on 25$ games.
-There is a lot of big betting going on so its easy to blend in here.

Ballys Wild Wild West 8 Decks DAS H17 lucky ladys bet available 2 decks cut off
-This casino sucks they really only offer like 5 tables at a time
-Fortunately its directly connected to ballys and ceasars which are within walking distance.

Ballys (not to be confused with "ballys WWW") 8 Decks DAS S17/H17 With S17 being found near the cashier window, Penetration varies greatly from 1.2-3 decks cut off but shopping dealers can yeild some awsome games(for atlantic city anyways)
-Lucky ladies side bet available on some games
-lots of tables with ten dollar tables usualy available

Claridge 8 decks DAS H17 penetration around 2 decks and they only had two tables open so there isnt much room for dealer selection
-I think lucky ladies was available on at least one of the tables
-Minimums were 10 all around (two tables) so i guess thats a plus
-Take your stock out of whoever owns this casino because it was a ghosttown

Resorts 8 Decks DAS ?H17?(not sure) penetration a little under 2 decks
6 Deck game also available for higher minimums with bad penetration
-Often has low 10 dollar minimums
-only 5-10 tables available
-very weary of card counters
-I think match the dealer is also available here

Trump taj mahal 8 Decks DAS S17 fairly consistant penetration at or slightly under 2 decks but 1.5 can be found sometimes
-Bust it Side bet available at a few tables
-Lucky Ladies side bet available
-5 dollar minimum table available all the time sometimes rumored to be 3 but ive never seen it at that
-10 dollar tables available most of the day
-midshoe entry allowed on all games except the ones in the predominately 25$ pit, the other pits will hit 25 on busy nights and midshoes is allowed there, this is a great casino to backcount in as there are lots of asians throwing big bets on busy nights.
-If you sit at the low limit tables by the bar there is a girl dancing and shaking her arse 20 feet in front of you while you play wich is a plus and is definatly not offered at any other casino.
-They have really fancy 100 and 500 dollar chips
-Offers single deck 6:5 payout
-Has a hard rock cafe?

Showboat 8 Decks DAS H17 penetration varies very little from 2 decks either direction
-Lucky ladies side bet available i believe
-5 Dollar table available 24\7 365 but its usually full or full of markers
-10 dollars tables fairly common, i think midshoe entree is allowed at all tables except the high roller room, which laughibly has 25 dollar tables at times.
-Offers single deck 6:5 payout

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following three casinos are away from the majority and can be gotten to by following the road directly between trump taj and showboat away from the ocean westwardly if your are already in the main part of town. If its your first time coming to ac i advise going into town first and taking this route, as directly coming from the ac expressway is a maze of loops and jughandles, exits and merges of multiple lanes from both directions, and even a tunnel. It can be dangerous if you are not sure where you are headed and have to read every sign on the way.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trump marina 8 Decks DAS S17 penetration varies from 1.3 to 2 decks or more
-5 Dollar games can be found on slow mornings
-10 dollar games available most of the day
-Only a few of the 25 dollar tables are no mid shoe
-Match the dealer side bet available
-Good pizza
-Mr Trump had an ego trip and put his face on EVERY 100 dollar chip
-Has a hooters restaraunt
-Offers single deck 6:5 payout

Harrahs 8 decks DAS H17 penetration varies 1.5-2 decks some shoes have notches some dont, some dealers dont use the notches, i really dont know what their plan is here
-10 dollar tables are fairly common unless its busy then its only 15 and up with mostly 15s
-Lucky ladies side bet available
-Offers single deck 6:5 payout

Borgata 6 Decks all around!! DAS S17 hurray! unfortunately there is 1.5-2 decks cut off always, the best bet here is back counting which is only available in the low limit pit.
-If you settle for 75% in the regular pit(the regular pit is the high limit pit here) there are LOTS of 1000$ bets everywhere you look even at the 25$ tables, its very easy to blend in here
-There is a 5 dollar table available 24\7 everyday
-10 dollar tables found rarely mostly at oddball hours with 15 being the norm in the low limit pit
-I think lucky ladies is available in the low limit pit
-If you have a sportbike, you have got to get some airtime in their parking garage its freiking awsome

Thats what i have learned after playing there the last year, a few things relevant to all of AC
-A parking receipt from one casino is good fro free parking at the next until 6am, so make sure you ask for your receipt
-when leaving ac for the ac expressway, turn at ceasars directly under the ceasars overhead walkway
-The best games are hilton, ballys and borgata, in that order
-If you have a resorts, or hilton card, you can get free use of the jitney taxi-bus things all over ac to save money on parking.
-There is a hardrock cafe, a Hooters, and a rainforest cafe on the boardwalk

-Some 25$ tables offer no midshoe entree which makes it easy to backcount since few peopel play them

What's the point of backcounting a no midshoe game if you can't wong in?

Update for Ballys (main casino) - Half the tables are now H17. The pit closer to the cashier's window is still S17.

Unless this is a very new development, having any sort of casino card-Resorts,Hilton,Trump or Harrahs DOES NOT get you free rides on the jitney.
There was talk of a shuttle going between Resorts and the Hilton, but that is not the regular jitney.

More updates

The jitney perk is only relevant to a hilton or resorts card, and i only know this because i saw a sign on the back of a jitney that said so, i have never tried it.

Also Updates include:
-Multi Action Blackjack is available at the Tropicana
-Lucky Ladies is NOT available at the borgata
I can no longer edit the thread for some reason :flame:

Yeah, the jitneys definatly kick the crap out of those shuttle buses, theres like 100 jitney cars floating around town so youll get one at the stop like every 2 minutes and they stop at every casino, or even at places inbetween if you ask them to.

Harrahs hase a Total Rewards van that runs every 30 minutes between the 4 HET joints. Free if you are staying at one of them or have anything but a gold card.

I believe Trump also runs shuttles between their 3 places.

I got a postcard on these. I didn't keep it as I won't patronize the Trop until it is sold. Its something like you need an hour of rated play the week before the tournament to gain entry.
The Trops slot technitions just voted 19-2 to unionize. Big deal, you might say. But the Trop has over 4,000 slot machines. 21 techs for 4,000 machines? There are 21 shifts in a work week.Thats one tech per shift, for 4,000 machines. No wonder they lost their license.

Shad, your conclusion of one tech/ shift assumes that each tech only works one shift per week. Now that's one HELL of a union!! Are you sure you're not running for office?

It should read 1,000 per tech, not 4,000 My error.
There are 21 shifts,3 each day. There are 21 techs, none of whom are allowed to work overtime.21 workers x40hour work week= 820 work hours.Divide that 820 by the 168 hours in a week and you get less than 5 workers per shift. Over 1,000 machines a tech. The 4,000 was a typo. Thats not counting sickdays or vacations.

They're building some kind of a bar in the Trop that takes up like half of the main floor, so they took out a bunch of slots and opened 2 new pits closer to the quarter..one thing I noticed when I was there last weekend was how every dealer I had could speak English (big plus for me since I don't understand chinesemumblyhalfenglishhalfnotish) and the amount of $10 tables even at 9pm on a Saturday. Oh yeah, and the drink girls were much quicker at coming back with the drinks.

some updates as of memorial day weekend 2008...

some updates to this after this past weekend

Hilton 8 deck- DAS S17 penetration varies by dealer 1.2-1.8 decks cut off
-Match the dealer side bet available on some tables
-10 dollar tables offered most of the day
-Some 25$ tables allow midshoe entree which makes it easy to backcount since few peopel play them
-I beleive if you have a hilton card you can get free transportation on the jitney cars all around town which saves on parking
-serves "always dolphin safe" tunafish in their restaraunt which i find funny
no $25 min tables allow mid-shoe entry during day shift. only during swing when some of the low limit pit goes to $25 is mid-shoe entry allowed.

also, 2 H17 tables have been added by the roulette tables across from the low limit BJ pit. hopefully this does not catch on further here.

-Has a Hooters restaraunt
seemed they've "standardized" their cuts more uniformly these days - very rarely varied from 1.75-2Ds cut off. but the "high limit" area with $25 min bets allows mid-shoe entry.

-I think lucky ladies is available here
-Offers single deck 6:5 payout
all their 6D had 2Ds cut off, did not see anything less than that over 2-3 trips there. only 2 $25 min tables in the main pit allow mid shoe entry no matter what shift - they are directly across the pit from each other which might facilitate backcounting them both at the saem time if you are good enough and have good enough eye sight.

Ceasars 8 decks DAS S17 penetration is pretty consistant at 2 decks occasionally slightly less They also offer 6:5 single deck but we all know that game is stupid and you should only play it if you intend on deliberatly spilling your drink on the table while you play.

low limit pit remains consistent at 2Ds cut off while the high limit pit had fairly consistent 1.5Ds cut off.

Ballys Wild Wild West 8 Decks DAS H17 lucky ladys bet available 2 decks cut off
-This casino sucks they really only offer like 5 tables at a time
-Fortunately its directly connected to ballys and ceasars which are within walking distance.
completely disagree with this now. this was probably the best place to play over the memorial day weekend. all three BJ pits were open, plenty of tables and not incredibly crowded even on swing. pen varied from 1.5-1.75Ds cut off, with the occasional 1.25 or 2D. but yes, unfortunately it is H17.

-lots of tables with ten dollar tables usualy available
there are now only 2 S17 tables left in this place, directly in front of the cashier window. on thursday most of that pit was S17 but by saturday only 2 tables were left as S17! high limit room is still S17. main pits still have 1.5-1.75Ds cut off with occasional 1.25 or 2D. high limit room has some 1.5/6D games so not bad and not crowded. NMS in the high limit room though.

Borgata 6 Decks all around!! DAS S17 hurray! unfortunately there is 1.5-2 decks cut off always, the best bet here is back counting which is only available in the low limit pit.
-If you settle for 75% in the regular pit(the regular pit is the high limit pit here) there are LOTS of 1000$ bets everywhere you look even at the 25$ tables, its very easy to blend in here
-There is a 5 dollar table available 24\7 everyday

no LLs side bet here, just match the dealer. pen was fairly steady at 1.75D with 1.5Ds cut off rare and 2Ds cut off slightly less rare. needless to say i still cannot find my favorite dealer in AC here anymore (she used to give 1D pen at the borg) .

Thanks for the update.

I wonder if we're thinking of the same dealer at Borgata. If she is short and has an uncommon name (same as an aging movie star) last time I saw her, she was a floorperson.

not who i was thinking of, or at least this name wasnt that uncommon in my head ;).

another update as well - food comps (sliips of paper, not like pt balances) flow easier on the south part of the boardwalk, ie hilton and the trop, vs the mid and northern casinos like ballys/caesars/trump. also, in passing, i *think* it was at the hilton, but i saw someone checking their comp points with the option to cash them out in REAL cash at half the value. was quickly passing by and didnt have time to stop and check myself.
