Illustrious 18 for SD HiOpt1
Hi, I'm relatively new to counting. I plan on making my first trip in a few weeks to Reno. I was wondering if anybody could tell me the Illustrious 18 for single deck for the HiOpt1 count. I would appreciate it very much!

Sorry, I didn't realize you only asked for the Ill18. Here you go:
16 vs 10 = 0
15 vs 10 = 3
10,10 vs 5 = 4
10,10 vs 6 = 4
10 vs 10 = 5
12 vs 3 = 2
12 vs 2 = 2
11 vs Ace = 1
9 vs 2 = 0
10 vs Ace = 4
9 vs 7 = 3
16 vs 9 = 4
13 vs 2 = -1
12 vs 4 = 0
12 vs 5 = -1
12 vs 6 = 0
13 vs 3 = -1

A. The indices for HO1 should be the same as HiLo.
B. You should use HiLo, NOT HO1. zg

Hi-Opt I is alright for single-deck games, but as soon as you start playing multi-deck games (which is what most people play) you will start to have trouble with the ace side count. It is just too much trouble for such little advantage (if any). Eventually you will want to switch to an ace-reckoned system that will work for any number of decks. That will also free up your brain for other more profitable techniques.

ill back sonny and ZG up on that - i used to use AO2 on pitch games when i could play them often. now that im relegated to shoe games most of the time, i realized for me personally, an ace sidecount became impractical, and i switch to an ace-reckoned level-2 count. follow the good advice given to you unless you plan to play 1/2D games exclusively.
