Default Bill to Criminalize Anonymous Internet Posts

When this bill passes I will have a federal mandate to override the draconian BJINFO
rules and reveal you-know-who's identity, address, and favorite steam room. zg
Lawmaker: Criminalize Anonymous Internet Posts

Kentucky Rep. Tim Couch has filed a bill aimed at making anonymous commenting on Web sites illegal.
“The bill would require anyone who contributes to a website to register their real name, address and e-mail address with that site,” according to press reports. “Their full name would be used anytime a comment is posted.”
A Web site owner would have to pay a fine if someone posted anonymously on their site, if the bill were to become law. A first-offense fine would be five-hundred dollars. The Web site owner would have to pay one-thousand dollars for each offense after that.
Couch said he hopes to cut down online bullying.

Supposedly the reasoning behind the bill is to prevent online bullying of schoolchildren. I suspect his whole purpose in this was to appease an influential constituent who has a kid experiencing this.

My answer to online bullying is to retaliate with a combination of offline and online bullying. Find out who it is, beat the hell out of him, and post the video to YouTube. Or **** his mother or something if you don't believe in violence.

Every hare-brained Big Government idea is touted as being done "for the sake of the children." Government takeover of 1/4 of the economy (the health care system) is the official policy of one party for that exact reason. I'm sure they will want to take over the other 3/4 for the same claim.

I'd say give them (the government) the entire economy, but only if they agree to let us build our own government-proof economy outside the one we give them. When we prosper and the parallel government economy goes down the tubes, things will be where they should have been in the first place.
