Betting spreads?

I have a few questions for some of the more experienced players in here. I have been playing blackjack for about 2 years now using only BS and about 6 months ago started learning KO. I feel as though I have have it down very well but I'm unsure of what betting spreads I can get away with without drawing too much heat from the pit and eye in the sky.
I currently use 1-6 units for DD games and 1-12 on 6 deck games. I know this may seem somewhat conservative for many. My question is at what count do I raise my bets and what kind of ramp looks like "an average gambler"? It seems like in DD games the count is high for only a few hands and I want to take advantage of that but not be too obvious. Can I go from 1 unit to 4 units or is that too aggressive?
In 6 deck games in seems like maybe the last few hands are a decent count. If I have large bet out and a shuffle comes do I revert back to my smaller intitial bet or leave my big bet out there? And if so, how do I ramp back down to my smaller bet?
I realize that each casino is different in how they react to bet spreads and I also realize that I can get away with a more aggressive spread if I limit my time in one casino. I'm just wondering how you guys handle these things.
I think I understand bankroll and money management pretty well. Right now my large bet is 2% of my total bankroll. I think that this may be on the aggressive side but I can replenish my BR fairly easily if needed.

+1 = 2 units
+2 = 3 units
+3 = 4 units
+4> = 6 units

6 Deck

<-4 = 1 unit
-3 = 2 units
-2 = 2 units
-1 = 4 unit
0 = 4 units
+1 = 4 units
+2 = 6 units
+3 = 6 units
+4 = 8 units
+5 =10 units
+6> = 12 units

I would say your betting spreads are pretty accurate but some in here would say they are too aggresive and others would argue they are not aggressive enough. I think your 6 deck spread may be on the conservative side personally but that's just me.
As far as having a a big bet out before the shuffle that's one that riddles many a card counter. It's a tricky situation but you have to find ways to get around it because pulling back a big bet does target you as a counter. I have left a big bet out on occasion if the pit is watching me but that is a play that will cost you in the long run. You can take a bathroom break but that is a move you can really only pull off once. I can usually tell how many hands I have left before a shuffle in a 6 deck game and start to slowly taper my bets back down to a medium size bet if I know I'm near the end of a shoe.
If you limit your play to less than an hour you can usually get away with more aggressive betting patterns.
