Given today's declining "beatable" games, I am curious.

Though the blackjack available to me (in WA) is beatable, I simply do not have the bankroll to validate the inevitable fluctuation risk. As such, I've been playing blackjack tournaments to moderate success.

I would like to know where these beatable games are. The last few places I have played lately have cut off late surrender and now, there are no casinos that allow a higher limits than 500.

Maybe when the Snoqualmie opens there might be a beatable game.

Nooksack River Casino offers late surrender and liberal rules on their six deck game, not to mention 85% penetration.

Their double deck game is rough - hs17, d1011, ndas, but offer 'midshoe' entry.

Seasoned veterans - are you still winning?

I'm not very seasoned, as I've been doing this seriously for about 2 years now, but since then I have played just about every week. I'm still winning, though my first year was incredible, with only 2 losing sessions.

Playing in AC, I haven't noticed any significant changes in conditions, other than Borgata is not what it once was - the best game in town. So, I've grown up playing under mediocre conditions, and I've learned to make the best of it. Kinda like skiing in the east...

I find no shortage of beatable games. Its unfortunate you don't have the bankroll to take advantage of the games you do have, but that would be a problem regardless of the rules. Many are quick to criticize the conditions of todays blackjack without first looking at themselves. I will admit there have been some unfavorable changes to the game over the years, but with that come changes in how to play them. If you don't put the effort in to learn how to capitalize on what is available, then its just a case of those that can't adapt become extinct. Survival of the fittest.

Most people read a book, basically comprehend the counting method with very little else in the way of money management, risk, and variance, and then wonder why the game is unbeatable. I suggest to those that are struggling with playing a winning game, learn how to play, learn what it takes to play, and then aquire it before playing. Don't expect to build a starting bankroll through playing as it will lead to more talk of how blackjack is unbeatable. Disregard this advice if you just want to have fun and aren't too concerned about positive results. Thats fine if this is just a form of entertainment you are willing to pay for. But if your goal is to make money, then don't be in such a hurry, bad habits are harder to break then just developing good ones from the start.

And yes I'm still winning with no complaint on the games conditions.
