Vegas table listings

#1
I am going to Vegas in May with a buddy and we want to concentrate on the double deck BJ games. I'm looking for a listing of all the casinos and what games and rules they offer in BJ. I saw a list posted several months ago, not sure if it was on this site or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best of luck to all of you.

I have no help for you right now but I am going to Vegas in two weeks for a week and then I'm returning in June for a month. The week trip I will be playing & scouting for decent games so if you drop me a private message I will let you know what I find. I've been many times before and already have an idea of who has the standard DD games but since I'm going to be there so long in June I thought I might check out a few other casinos to make sure I'm not missing out on anything.

I hear the game down at the **** end of the Strip, at Slot-o-Fun (the Riviera) is a DD w/good rules and no heat. I'm not sure it's the kind of game you can walk in and bet real money though, I was under the impression it's a cake game, most ppl betting $5 or $10.

I will follow this thread but if you get PM'ed or MSG any information please share. /edit/ Really, I can't say SHlT in a post? That's harsh considering everyone here is 18 & up in the large.

If it was indeed rated PG-13 SHlT would be allowed, as would two entries of the infamous F word. PG-13 is fairly liberal, for Americans at least ... if s*it is edited out, this site isn't even up to a PG rating :(

thanks

Thanks checkmugged. I'll look into the Riviera. Like I said, several months ago I saw a complete listing of all the casinos and what BJ games they had, rules, limits, etc. I wish I had printed it out then but at that time I wasnt planning on being in Vegas. I live 30 minutes from AC and play there often but they only have 6 and 8 deck shoes. I was in Vegas last June and stayed at NYNY, they have DD with good rules and limits, problem is they only had two DD tables. I'm getting casino rate rooms for Thursday and Friday and comped on Saturday so I feel a need to give NYNY and the MGM family my business. I was hoping to find out rules for their other properties like Mirage and TI. Would rather not waste hours walking around looking for rules and stuff. Plus my buddy is superstitious and lost the two times we stayed at NYNY and is now iching to explore new places.
Good luch with you trips.

Going to Vegas in May. Dont want to waste hours upon hours researching the various casinos to see which ones have the best double deck BJ games. I'm pretty sure I saw a listing posted on this forum several months ago detailing each casino, what games they have, rules, limits, etc. If anyone has any advice on this situation it would be greatly appreciated. Good luck to everyone, this is an awesome forum.

Hey Checkmugged, I'm going to Vegas for 5 nights in May, can you PM me with where the good conditions are? I play $10-80 on DD and $5-80 on 6D
I have a current copy of CBJN, so I have an idea, but I think you can only use as a guideline. If you would like a copy PM me your email, and I will send it to you.

Good luck (variance)

Riveria doesn't have any decent games. Slots of Fun is across from it and does have good games. But the last few times I passed thru, every seat is take and people are waiting for openings.

The best sources are Wong’s Current Blackjack News and the Trackjack website. There are a few free resources but they are not very reliable.

Did I do something wrong? Did I insult you or this forum ZG? What's with the "do you even know BS"? Do I have to be a professional counter to ask a simple question? I dont understand your line of questioning.
FYI - like it really matters, I've been a very successful BS player for a few years now, mostly at the Borgata in AC. Will be working on KO with a friend on the trip to Vegas.

I don’t think ZG was trying to insult you, he was just trying to steer our advice in the right direction. The games that are good for a BS player are very different than the games that are good for a card counter. We want to know what style of play you use so that we can recommend a good game.

For a BS player you can find lots of good shoe games on the strip. They have a good house edge and they are often crowded so the play is nice and slow and the game is more social and fun to play.

When the question is asked, "Do you really know BS, even"? Really and even are insulting to me. If I was some POS newbie I wouldnt be on this site asking about table listing, rules, etc. If I didnt even know BS I would probably just sit down at any 8 deck table and blow my money like every other ploppy. I understand I am not in your guys league but ZG's response just rubbed me the wrong way, no matter how legendary he is.

Thanks for your advice Sonny. On my upcoming trip to Vegas I really want to only play double deck because I know there will be times that I blow the count and will only have a short time to flatbet or bathroom trip till the next shuffle. My last trip played heavily at NYNY but they only had two tables and wanted to see what other strip casinos had favorable situations.

It's still a fair question. You can sit at a table with great rules, but with significant basic strategy departure, be at a bigger disadvantage than if you played a table with mediocre rules but perfect BS.

Anyway, in terms of rules, I think it's Mirage, TI, and Luxor that have double deck S17 DAS games that are some of the better rules out there, decent penetration, even. Also reputedly pretty tightly policed games if you're counting cards.

And of course, El Cortez and Western have legitimate single deck games.

It's all good Lou...good luck with KO. I love the system, and it works for me.

you should have said this from the get go, and also you should have said what bet level you're at, and if you know KO then you should know about CBJN.

if you don't count, then telling you to go buy CBJN is kinda a waste, and if you're a $25 BS bettor, then you'll be playing different games than a $5 player who doesn't know BS, and if you're a counter, then you'll be focusing on a whole different set of casinos, as most double deck games right now have pen of 50-60%. hardly playable for a counter, but for a BS player these games can be fine. so really, put it into perspective. if you claim that you're not a "noob" then stop acting like one and help us to help you.
