Default A newb for the 3rd time.

I just wanted to introduce myself. My background is a little different. I started counting when I was in the service, stationed in northern California. I learned BS and was learning a CC system. I cannot remember which one. We used to take trips to Tahoe and Reno alot. My counting was not the best then and at best I broke even. That was in the late 80's. After I got out of the service I just quit because I had no place to play. Jump forward to around 2002 and I learned BS again and HI/LOW. I was getting pretty good and it was starting to work for me. Then Life got busy and had to quit again. Jump forward to present time. I dug out all my BJ info a week ago and tried to use it at home. Wrong, I forgot everything again. I relearned BS in a day and am working on HI/LOW. Yesterday I made a couple of calls to the Casinos I will be playing at and they all now have single deck games. H17, D9, No DAS, No surrender, No ins. Not a bad game. I dont know about the Pen though. I am now redoing my BS for single deck and thinking HI/LOW may not be the best, but may just stick with it because the other casinos lower on my list play DD and 6 deck.

Anyway I just wanted to say Hi to everyone. I have probably posted on here back in 2002, 2003 but have forgotten my logon and password.

Take care, Pugi

They don't allow insurance? That's painful. Are you sure they are 3:2 games and not 6:5 games?

To be honest Sonny, I am not sure. I forgot to ask about payout. These are the closest to me and will go there to sharpen my skills. When I do get there and they are 6:5 I will be pissed. Or maybe I misunderstood the lady I talked to, the one that sounded like a squirl with a mouth full of nuts. Is it OK to post where I am going on here? or is it a bad idea? Pugi

It's probably fine, but that's up to you. You don't have to tell us the names of any specific casinos if you don't want to. If we know what state or general area you're in we can give you an idea of what the games are like.

Ok, My tuning up casinos will be in Jackpot, NV. Not much to chose from but they are the closest. After that a couple Indian casinos in Oregon. Elko, NV , Wendover, NV and Winamucca, NV are on the list as well. Pugi

Don't play at Barton's club in Jackpot. They don't allow insurance but I believe the other two casinos do. I don't think Elko and Winnemucca have single-deck games anymore, but you might be able to find some DD or 4D games for practicing. Wendover should be fun. Oregon is mostly 6D games, although there might be one playable SD game in the state.

Thanx Sonny, I wont wander far untill I get extremly proficient. I need to get my skills back first. I was through Wendover about a year ago on business, only spent have of a day. I did get to wander through some of the Casinos. The only DD I saw was at the Red Garter, everything else looked to be single deck. This may be my first proficient trip. Pugi
