Question strategy deviations

In "Play Blackjack Like the Pros" it says that when the true count is above plus 3 you should take insurance. This seems illogical because there are still more cards that do not give the dealer blackjack. Why should you take insuance? Do you know of a good site that contains strategy deviations?

Thanks

Default Don't forget. It pays 2:1

Insurance pays 2:1, so it's a good bet whenever more than one-third of the remaining cards are tens. A true count of +3 is the best correlation between the Hi-Lo count and that fact.
