Hello,

We arrived on Apr 21. Checking in was very easy and we did try the $20 dollar tip trick which got us a strip view w/ 42" plasma TV and all that stuff I thought it was a nice upgrade.

As soon as we showered and all that we headed to MGM due to their rules. Lets just say that counts sometimes got in our favor but for whatever reason we never could gain any ground. I was able to make my bankroll about $2,500 and with counts of +10 or higher just would not net anything.

I was still ending up with 12-16's a ton of times.

Their Penetration I thought wasn't all that good however I did like the 4 Aces splitting allowed that was a nice rule that I don't think anyone else has.

With that night over I was about $400 down.

The next night we went to 4 Queens on Freemont to find the following:

H17,DAS,Splitting upto 4x w/ only 2 time split A.

We had a heck of a dealer there at 4 Queens and had a great time and ended the night at with about $450 up from the night before.

Counts we're terrible people playing that had no business to play was hurting but once they left things was better.

I will post more later as our flight leaves in alittle while.

This trip after everything was said and done while it wasn't a huge win I'm flying back with $950 extra in my pocket.

Hello,

I'm now sitting at LV Airport sitting on a hard floor right now writing this trip report so bear with me.

We arrived via SWA on Apr 21. We arrived at Paris a short time later... Checking in was very easy and we did try the $20 dollar tip trick which got us a strip view w/ 42" plasma TV and all that stuff I thought it was a nice upgrade.

Maybe you should re-consider what a huge win is. Over 30% of your bankroll in a single weekend is a huge win.

Not to be a killjoy, but you posted a lot more personal information than I would have. I doubt you won enough to make the casinos care, but you've given enough information to identify yourself.

I didn't quote in case you want to edit your OP.

Nice win!

Can you explain this "trick"? Is it just tipping the front desk agent?

Ask if there's a "free room upgrade" available, and discretely slip them a $20. Run a google search on it, you'll find some info.

It works! Take a $20 and slip it between your credit card and your ID when checking in. Say "Are there any complimentary room upgrades?" If they cant do it, they will usually give your $20 back....usually....works at Imperial Palace from my experience.

I find this method far too subtle, since many times they can't see the bill until after they've checked for rooms, made a decision, and are ready to run your card.

The best way, in my opinion, is to fold up the $20 and put it behind your credit card and hold your card at a steep angle so that the bill faces them.
