The Hot Shoe is a 1 hour 35 minute documentary film about blackjack card counting. Interviews and commentary about advantage blackjack play surround a real-life case study, where the filmmaker risks his $5000 film music budget in an 11-day run at the blackjack tables of Las Vegas.
This film covers a lot of ground, with appearances by many of blackjack's most influential people, from Ed Thorp, author of the seminal "Beat The Dealer", to Tommy Hyland, perhaps the most successful team player ever. The information presented is accurate, and well-presented.
This is a first, and fills a long need in the blackjack world. So much of the information presented in the media about blackjack and card counting is inaccurate or incomplete. It's nice to see a feature length film that presents a realistic view of the issues of advantage blackjack.
