Zen maybe you are the one who's loosing the edge??? This isn't the 70's, 80's or even the 90's anymore.

    Dealer cheat you on purpose?

If possible don't play with those dealers. There are miserable people in all professions. If you are sure that they are intentionally working against you and the option of not playing at their tables is not possible because their casino is too small and tables are few, then spend a few sheckles...

    fallout from a big win

I have not returned to that location since the event, but that didn't stop the fallout from the event. Last evening I was backed off. About 2 miles from the casino. Has anyone ever encountered such a backoff, or I guess more accurately, a warning, in a setting away from the casino?:confused...

    Rudest backoff yet

Over the years, I have been backed off numerous times and suggest that if you approach it with a smile and remember that BJ is a gentleman's game, then problems normally will not occur. Remember, the management is expecting confrontation when none is really necessary. They are not concerned with...

Picking a System, lot's of questions.

GOODBJ- Learn a simple level one count first and get some table time as soon as you are proficient. There are many practical reasons to learn several different counting systems. Some of the most powerful ones are really too tiring mentally to play for very long and difficult to maintain cover...

    Casino tolerates counters?

100% correct! The move from green chips to black is when the intervention occurs. I have had properties comp airfare/suites/meals several trips but as soon as you take any real money..."sorry management has decided that you can contunue to play at table minimum and just one hand or play any...

    Atlantis - March 2011 Report

Don't know, but it's now Italian owned and will tolerate heavy money...$500-$3000 per hand. They are also always willing to fly a player in, put them up n a suite, feed and entertain them as long as they play...win or lose. Rules are the best in the Carribean. I visit 4-6 times /yr.

    Atlantis - March 2011 Report

Atlantis is a vacation resort, in fact most of the Carribean does not offer favorable rules, at least not worth risking any real money. My travels have only found one location worth the trip...St. Kitts.

    can spanish21 be beaten?

I have been backed-off several times even though my stakes were low and spread was moderate. I suspect that you had been backed off the bj tables at those properties or related properties and are playing with a players card? Years ago they believed that sp21/pontoon was unbeatable and...

    Burn card Rule

Is there a rule to show the burn card or not show it? Most casinos will show the table the burn card if requested and after 5-6 requests the dealer will continue to show the burn. Some of the single deck sweat shops simply refuse. I have never seen multiple deck games refuse to show the burn.

Choosing a counting system, need some advice

The books do indicate that many pros use HILO but I do not have any real knowledge of any pros. i have played a lifetime and met many HILO players yet i rarely use HILO only because I have not been personally as successful using it.Other systems work better for me and my play as it might for...

bankroll 650k , 1000 hours in one year

beyond bj- If you are for real, ie a 650,000 bank roll then here is some advice. High stakes play requires a very special approach since when you press real money, you will have 1-2 pit personnel evaluating your play and afterwards management watching the "tapes". You can not simply burst onto...

    Cover Play Ideas

This is a classic over exposure at any Casino. 4-5 times per month and winning will get you backed off at many properties. No amount of cover plays will hide your spreads. Cover plays are a waste, keep your play short and infrequent or wong.

Choosing a counting system, need some advice

I am not a theorist, and landed on what worked best for my game by learning several systems and perfecting each. You will use a different one for different games/rules and even the level of heat and at times table conditions. I do not think anyone can tell you what will work best for your style...
