Thanks for the tips. KO/TKO is the counting system I use, and it did seem possible to keep count & key cards. I'm just not there yet. I like the idea of nicknames for all the cards, I may try that or something similar. If anyone has any other ideas, please share. Thanks.

Had my first live attempts at ace sequencing recently. I quickly found that I struggle to remember both the count and the key cards at the same time. The one time that I noticed 3 "super" key cards (followed by consecutive aces), I focused so closely on them that I completely forgot the count...

That's what I figured. Shoe rules at the same place are 6/8D, DAS, surrender, ~75% pen. Don't remember if you can RSA. The verdict seems to be that I should stick to shoe games at that place, or move on. I'm OK with that.

Yeah, the rules are definitely weak. Main reason I play it is because it's the only 3:2 DD game with better than 50% pen I've found in that area, at least at $25 or lower. But obviously I'm giving up a lot on the other rule changes. I'll keep the bigger spread in mind, thanks for the advice...

Good point, I definitely make an effort to play heads-up or with just one other player there. I'll occasionally play 2 hands, too, if the count is high enough for me to raise my bets.
