    Progressive loss betting strategy

Don't the ploppies that empty their wallets subsidize advantage play at the casinos that do tolerate it to a degree?

Wow I almost let myself go lol

If you have a known counter at the table, and he's tipping you well, will you pref. shuffle against the casino when you detect a high negative count, and try to squeeze in an extra hand past the cut when it's a high positive?

VBJ machines and taxes, no wonder everyone is playing on the tables instead

It's not currently going on this month, but if it is again I will post and let anyone know who is interested know who and when via PM.

VBJ machines and taxes, no wonder everyone is playing on the tables instead

This all sounds pretty standard. Virtual BJ machines are classified as slots, and as such you get taxed on any payout over $1,199 on a single hand or end result ($300 + double down win, or $200 wager + a split + a double on one of the splits...hell, even a $500 wager, a split, a double down on...

    Talk About Getting Lucky!

There are 3-play $100 VP machines ($1,500 max bet). I believe I saw a picture of someone being dealt a Royal on one, and was paid $1,200,000.

An example why all casinos should offer Surrender

I'm not worried about losing the hand, but rather getting a win where I would have otherwise pushed. If the dealer has peeked for blackjack and does not have it witha 10 up, in very high counts, the probability that the dealer's hole card is also a 10 would be above 50%. In those cases, you...

An example why all casinos should offer Surrender

The EV of a 20 is above 50%, yes. But what if the count's +10, and thus the dealer is more than 50% likely to have a 10 down under their 10 up?

An example why all casinos should offer Surrender

This would end up being used by, and singling out counters really quickly.

Have you ever emptied (or filled up) the dealer's chip rack?

How much heat did you get spreading 60:1?

    I can second this.

    Rivers started using i-Tables

I wouldn't mind the i-Tables as much if this functionality were illegal. If the casino is sticking by the explanation of "we want to reduce miscommunication between dealers and players", it's a shame it can't be put into practice that's all they're allowed to use it for - the shoe not being...

The Rivers adds more BJ tables

I remember seeing some literature from the Meadows that states a grandfathering is available but is limited to two hours.

    barred - returning

YMMV; I've hit two separate W2-G jackpots on a family member's comps, at two different casinos, and no one batted an eye. Maybe for a game's absolute top pay ($100,000 on $5 Wheel of Fortune) it would cause issue. If using family comps, it may be a good idea to have all players in the family...

    First time splitting 10's

I think this is my saving grace as a counter, actually.
