MaaK, I'm a new counter too and found the Casino Verite software to be very usefull for practice. You can get through A LOT of hands fairly quickly. I also don't have a friend to practice with daily as you do so this was a necessity (IMO) for me. Also about a month and a half after...

I know I don't have anywhere near your BJ experience but at least in the cheap seats at Foxwoods I would have to disagree. I saw alot of bad play (not crazy bad but still bad) from the other players at my table and they FREAKED when I doubled S18 vs. 6
