How to Remove a Post & Quote

If I delete a post, but it remains in a quote in a reply message, how do I remove the quote? Also, do you only have a limited time to edit or delete a post? I am trying to delete a post and the associated quote but the edit tab is not shown. Thanks, MM

Editing of posts was previously limited to 2 days after the post. I have increased the editing timeframe to 5 days.

As for quoted posts, the quoting poster would have to do the edit.
If there is something sensitive that needs to be removed from a quoted post, please use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page to send a message to the moderators.

Currently you can edit a post but you can not delete a post once you made it. Sometimes I wanted to put a poll with my post but if I forget I can not go back and post a poll. I have also tried to a delete a post entirely and redo it but it wouldn't let me do that.
