New Blackjack Tournament Site

Announcing BlackjackTournaments.com

This project has been in the works for a while now, but a recent development in the blackjack tournament world has me rushing to get things finished. Blackjack Confidential magazine announced in their November issue that they were suspending publication indefinitely after the December 2003 issue. They've long served as the bible among tournament players for accurate schedules of upcoming events, strategy articles, and news of interest to avid tournament fans.

With their exit from this role, a new resource is sorely needed, and I hope this new site will be the solution. Please come take a look at the future of tournament coverage, at BlackjackTournaments.com. Immediately available is a new message board for discussing tournament topics. Coming soon will be the online, accurate, instantly updated schedule information we've always needed.

Please drop by today and sign up at the message forums. You all know how tough it is to get a new message board started, but this community deserves a vibrant place for the discussion of our favorite pastime.

Store now open at BlackjackInfo.com

Another new section of BlackjackInfo.com opened this month. Bayview Strategies is an online store at BlackjackInfo.com selling a handful of personally recommended books, software and strategy cards. In particular, I'm excited to be able to offer reasonably priced software for blackjack practice, simulation, and training.

Blackjack 6-7-8 Software is a great practice tool, and at $39.95 it offers the best value of any blackjack software I've seen. Also available in the store are laminated strategy cards for various numbers of decks.

Blackjack tournaments on Game Show Network?

That's the story in an Associated Press article today. Game Show Network is planning a weekly show to premiere next year, featuring blackjack tournament action and $250,000 in prize money. As soon as I learn more, I'll post it at the new BlackjackTournaments.com site.

Travel Channel Show Coming Up, Maybe

Later this month, be sure to tune in to the first broadcast of the Travel Channel coverage of the Las Vegas Hilton Million Dollar Blackjack Tournament. The episode will reportedly air November 27th, but checking that date at the Travel Channel's website doesn't seem to pan out. I'll likely do a mailing to remind everyone once I have a definite time and date.

Two online blackjack tournaments

There are two November blackjack tournaments at online casinos worth mentioning. You'll have to hurry to participate in the first. That event, with a $10 entry fee at Sands of the Caribbean ends tonight at midnight. The second event is month-long, at Intercasino. There, a $25 entry fee gets you a shot at the $3000 first place prize. These kinds of events will be easily found once the new schedule information is up and running at the new tournament site.

That's it for now. Best of luck, online and off! -Ken-
