The subtitle of this book is "The Easiest Card Counting System Ever Devised" and this book actually lives up to that hype. Authors Olaf Vancura and Ken Fuchs have produced a revolution in the blackjack world with their simple but extremely effective counting method, the KO system.
Most card counting systems require a player to convert the current "running count" into a "true count" by adjusting for the number of cards that have not yet been played. KO's genius comes from using an unbalanced counting method that eliminates the error-prone conversion. The KO system instead uses just the running count for all betting and playing decisions.
As a result, this has become my first recommendation when a new player asks me which counting system they should learn.
