Outting an AP

When I re-joined this site, I promised Al, not to speak of Norm's site. But I can not hold my tongue on this one. Some of the members of Norm's site, (the good old boys club members) are attempting to out Zenking by posting descriptions of him. Luckily their descriptions are off the mark, but the intent is there and that is outrageous....regardless of who the AP is or how anyone feels about that AP.

This should be condemned in the strongest of terms! I hope any of you cross-over members will voice your displeasure.

One member and he was just joking, since he doesn't actually know what the AP in question looks like. He was immediately chastised by the regulars you speak of.

Still your message should be taken in the most serious terms.

Now that we're on the subject, I was playing this past weekend and as I was coloring up from a session, some guy behind me who had been casually observing for a while started complimenting me on what a good card counter I was. Really?!?! He was talking in a regular tone of voice so I'm sure that at least the dealer could hear him and maybe even a PC.

So please - for all you aspiring card counters out there, this is an example of totally unacceptable behavior!

KJ - I haven't seem the thread(s) in question, but calling ZK an AP is like calling ZB an AP. They are both clueless idiots. While ZB is a harmless, entertaining (at times) idiot, ZK has been harassing people. Whether you like those people or not, I can understand their retaliation.

I disagree 21forme. There is a line and attempting to post a physical description of an fellow AP, regardless of what one or others think of that AP is WAY over that line. That can not and should not be tolerated.

There is some truth to that LC Larry. I still don't think that gives anyone, especially another AP, the right add to that mistake.

For the record, Midwest player started a thread at BJTF, with the same title as this thread, asking what I was getting so riled up about. The response was that it was all in fun, sort of a joke. I just don't see anything remotely humorous about a fellow AP outing, attempting to out, even in joking manner another AP, to the casino folks that we know read these sites and possibly effecting someone's livelihood.

But after the response to the Midwest player thread, dismissing me of over-reacting, I wanted to take a second look an see if perhaps I was being overly sensitive because of the nature of the subject. But guess what...in typical Norm fashion, the entire thread has been move or deleted. Most likely moved to the private section.

I have to agree with Don. Just let it go and worry about your game.

It could be worse though. ZK could be on YouTube REALLY making an ass of himself!

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if several members of that forum or WOV already outed me to several pit bosses. Is what it is, just more adversity against me when I never did anything wrong to anyone in the first place. My rants are exactly that, just rants, due to the volatility of this game and if people can't understand that, it's because they never actually played blackjack seriously for any decent amount of stakes or put in any significant amount of hours. Considering I've under-performed for close to 1000 hours just adds to the frustration. If people can't see where I'm coming from and then proceed to criticize me, then im the one that should be annoyed, not anyone else.

People are just little girls on these forums and can't take constructive criticism or any questioning. Is what it is, just a product of how society has gone down the gutter. I guess this is what happens when 99% of society is glued to their phones and social media.

That is not the thread gronbog. That is a follow-up thread started by Midwest player after I posted here. The thread in question, is a thread where as I remember it several members posted 'supposed' descriptions of Zenking. That thread and those descriptions have been removed.

edit: and in fairness those descriptions should have been removed. But it was not removed to protect a fellow AP, it was removed to get rid of what I had objection to, which is a common tactic at BJTF.

But I am not going to continue with this discussion, as I am sure Al feels that I have gone over a line that I said I wouldn't. I am just going to conclude, that as an AP who supports myself by AP play, outing a fellow AP, attempting to out a fellow AP, or even joking about it is completely unacceptable to me. As someone who fights the battle every single day with the casino industry, to be able to ply my trade, and make a living, I find nothing humorous about fellow AP's outing or even joking about outing another AP, regardless of how they feel about him/her.

I also want to be clear, I actually was not faulting the owner/admin of that site. He eventually did the right thing (a bit slow). My objection was to the AP's (or so called AP's), who would do such a thing to begin with.

OK. Wires crossed. The original thread was removed.

Agreed that no further discussion is needed. It should never have happened, the offender was chastised immediately and the offending thread/posts have been removed.

The words in the original thread requested to be deleted by ZenKing/Gniknez are "five foot six inch tall midget, but handsome". Good luck for casinos to identify him using these words.
