Apology

For anyone still willing to accept it, here it goes. I've been a bit out of line due to stress and anxiety these past 9 months watching my bankroll continue its down-slide upon moving out for the first time in my life. Not only did I move out for the first time, but I moved out across the country none the less.

Regarding the cheating claims I have thrown out there, basically I sat down and started to think this through a lot more clearly and that I'm over-thinking the possibility of me getting cheated. Here are the reasons.

The more I sat down and thought about it as I started viewing more and more practices that the casino uses. The possibility of a 'short pack' is eliminated because the pit bosses count the number of cards in the pit when changing the cards, etc and i dont think the casino would risk their business telling these pit bosses to be 'in' on it.

Secondly, the possibility of 10s and aces being replaced with extra 4s and 5s or 'stacking a deck' is eliminated as well because eventually more than 6 of these 4s or 5s will appear during a 6 deck shoe or more tham 8 in the case of an 8 deck shoe and i dont think a casino would obviously risk that in case someone is tracking that denomination.

Lastly, regarding ASMs being possibly programmed, I dont think this would be possible due to the system in place allowing the player to 'cut' the cards before play starts. Any pre-set configuration would be destroyed by random cuts from different people. I guess my only concern would be if the ASM was programmed to separate cards 'evenly' in such a way or distance certain cards from each other whereas the cut wouldnt even matter, but i dont think the casino would really do that as you can't really 'sim' what that would exactly do and wouldn't warrant the risk.

So at the end of thinking this through, there really isn't a way they can cheat, at least not something that warrants a risk. I guess there is debate about card clumping with ASMS, but from what I heard, shufflemaster claims cards can't be pre-set in a way to favor the dealer, but who really knows and I rather not even go into that right now.

The lack of casino transparency to customers still annoys me though because there isnt a rational explanation as to why they come pre shuffled instead of just coming in order if youre going to throw the cards into the ASM to shuffle it anyway.

My results performance has obviously frustrated me to no end as well, having prepared as much as I did back home to get my bankroll to a point where I can come here and play and withstand a losing streak while covering expenses. Then to get here and immediately start losing, right whem I first moved out on my own, the timing was awful and so unlucky to be -1.5 SD off the mark, I guess i never actually thought I would go through it and wasnt prepared enough for it mentally even though I prepared for it with a decent size bankroll.

I also want to make a public apology to Ryemo and whoever I called out during this rant. Ryemo has helped me a lot personally through many messages of advice and even a couple of phone calls here and there. I shouldn't have said what I said about him fabricating stories. I don't expect him or anyone else to accept any apology, but it is what it is at this point. Just want to clear the air with everyone. I have a lot of work to do mentally with my game. Although I'm a flawless and disciplined player with how I 'play', I really do not know how to deal with losing and even after 1100 hours it still eats at me. The combination of me moving out on my own for the first time and hitting this losing streak at this exact time along with expenses draining my bankroll has been a very tough transition for me. Ill leave it at that for now.

I've been reading your posts on a few sites. I, for one, don't feel that you need to apologize for being human and showing your emotions. I've met others like you over the years and most turned out just fine. From some of the responses you've gotten on the various sites, I'd say that there are some owe you an apology.

Pre shuffled cards are used to save time and are not used exclusively in in ASMs where I am. They are also used on hand shuffled games which saves some steps when the cards are changed every day or every other day. The dealer doesn't have to individually oper 6 or 8 decks and doesn't have to perform the traditional wash.

ZK , I still remembered talking to you with SCG and him making fun of you. You are a character with lots of emotion , don't let that dictate your game . Try to understand yourself and learn to diffuse your emotion while playing . We were both at similar stages and If I can do it so should you.

Don't worry about it ZK. We all get our asses kicked. It is a part of the deal when you count cards. You never really get used to it but after enough seasoning you come to accept it. What you should be upset about, whether you win or lose, is if your game was off. If you never have that to be upset about the long run will take care of the swings.
