The Blackjack blues! Great ringtone for the cell, and every BJ AP should have this song at hand.

Ray Charles was blind AND he was a ploppy?! Tough break for him:laugh:
I played at a table once with a blind guy who was winning like crazy. He had what appeared to be his wife with him who was reading his cards for him and telling him what the dealer had up so he could make all the decisions. It really slowed the game down because he would take a lot of time to make a hand. She had to tell him what every card was so he could decide whether to take another hit or stand. I couldn't help but think what a great act this would be if he were actually an AP and she his teammate. I mean who would ever expect a blind man to be a CC?

Maybe he can hear the cards, and they might sound different :) Its probably something most people haven't noticed, but you can actually hear the cards being dealt, even in a crowded casino. I actually use this in my game - not for some huge advantage or anything ;)

It's been done. I think Ken Uston did a blind act.

Maybe next time I'm in Nevada I'll try a deaf & dumb act. Can't think of any good reason why, other than that they will be fumbling around for a while trying to figure out how to back me off.

I thought someone (ICNT?) had suggested Dangerous Game by Darryl Purpose as the best Blackjack song with a link to the video, but I couldn't understand the lyrics, so I spent time finding the lyrics, but when I returned, the post had vanished??? Here are the lyrics:

DANGEROUS GAME 4:07
Darryl Purpose and Robert Morgan Fisher

Columbo, Sri Lanka, two civil wars, One during the day, the other at night
I was counting cards at the house of risk, I was a little ahead, I was doing alright
Tapped on the shoulder, led to a room
He called it his office, but it felt like a tomb.

We were from different worlds, But there was no language barrier
He said "It’s a dangerous game you’re playing."
I said "I know one scarier."

Killington, Vermont, New Years eve, Passing on the left, passing on the right
Left my coat and helmet back at the bar,
There was ice on the road, there was ice on my bike
Cop pulled me over, top of the hill
I walked the line, I knew the drill

That’s when he gave me the lecture, The whole chapter and verse
He said "It’s a dangerous game you’re playing."
But I know one worse

Mercury, Nevada, Underground tests, Marchers with guns, marchers with signs
Nighttime hiking on a back country action
All the way to ground zero we climbed
Wackenhunts waiting in their ATV’s
Guns cocked and ready, tell us to freeze

They were protecting a bomb blast, Now, What could be stranger?
They said "It’s a dangerous game you’re playing."
But they don’t know from danger

Front porch, her house, 3AM, I’m feeling loose, door’s locked up tight
I reach for the doorbell, But then
I wander off into the middle of the night
She said don’t come back till you’ve made up your mind
But I let it drag out, play for more time

There was just one message, on my message machine
She said, "It’s a very dangerous game you’re playing."
I said, "I know."

I remember playing with a sloppy drunk blind guy and his buddy. He was playing 2 hands of black and his buddy was bumming red from him. He was playing crazy and winning. The casino finally gave him the boot when he pee'd his pants at the table.

My advice you monkey is hear no evil, speak no evil AND see no evil.

I'll toss out a couple songs...

I'm not going to say it's "the best" but it's a good song that I like. Uncle Kracker, "Aces & 8's," track 10 off the album Double Wide.

Also, another good BJ song, is "She Goes Down" by Motley Crue, on the Album Dr. Feelgood.

My suggestion for best BJ song

"Shape of My Heart" by Sting

Reading the lyrics doesn't do this song justice. Here is a YT link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KX4jAplZb0Y

He deals the cards as a meditation
And those he plays never suspect
He doesn't play for the money he wins <<< (Not applicable to APs obviously)
He doesn't play for respect
He deals the crads to find the answer
The sacred geometry of chance
The hidden loaw of a probable outcome
The numbers lead a dance

I know that the spades are swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart

He may play the jack of diamonds
He may lay the queen of spades
He may conceal a king in his hand
While the memory of it fades

I know that the spades are swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart

And if I told you that I loved you
You'd maybe think there's something wrong
I'm not a man of too many faces <<< Camouflage/Disguises
The mask I wear is one
Those who speak know nothing <<< Ploppers
And find out to their cost
Like those who curse their luck in too many places
And those who fear are lost

I know that the spades are swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart

If you are wondering where you heard this song before, its likely to be from a 90s movie 'Leon The Professional' about a hitman. It was memorable for being the breakout role for Natalie Portman.
