Poker Bonuses

If you're worried the BJ bonuses are drying up and more difficult to take advantage of you can start taking advantage of the poker bonuses. A lot of sites will give you a certain percentage of your initial deposit but require that you play X number of raked hands before you can withdraw it. Playing a raked hand requires two things: the rake has to reach at least 25cents usually, which means a $5 pot, and secondly you have to be at the table. This means you don't even have to have put any money in the pot i.e. fold preflop. If you really wanted to you could probably go sit at a game with decent blinds, say 0.25/0.5 and fold every hand but keep paying your blinds, eventually you'll hit the # of raked hands and still make a profit. I wouldn't suggest this as they'll look out for that plus if you're a decent player you can make a few bucks at these low limit tables where a lot of people are eager to throw their money away.

I've only played a few sites so far but here are my recommendations:

Similar to blackjack I recommend http://www.bet365poker.com
It has a bonus of $100 after you play 500 raked hands and you only need to deposit $50. Plus every month you get an additional $50 if you play 500 raked hands.

Interpoker. I haven't played here yet but they have something similar to Intercasino setup so you can get monthly bonuses. Not sure if you can get both the bonus from intercasino and poker though.

Both AbsolutePoker and Poker.com have bonuses where you can get $300 and $500 respectively from the two sites. I'm not sure what the WR are.

Lastly is partypoker. They have a crappy bonus where they match your initial deposit by 20% up to $100 but there are a few websites out there which will give you free money if you play at partypoker. http://www.instantbankroll.com and (Dead link: http://www.yourpokercash.com/site/request/final.php?sid=1) can get you up to $150 at partypoker and you don't have to deposit a cent. You can get over $200 from the two sites if you're willing to make a deposit.

I personally play 0.25/0.50 NL at ten person table. That way I don't have to play many hands and the pots are 90% of the time big enough to count as a raked hand. If you haven't played poker before I wouldn't suggest trying to take advantage of these bonuses but if you're a decent player it shouldn't be too hard.
