STOP TALKING! (posting).

I told you this yesterday in private, maybe saying it publicly will have an more of an effect! o_O

The posts you have made at BJTF yesterday and again today are only making your situation 10x worse.

Chill out for a bit. Time heals wound, IF you allow it to.

Yup, like flies to honey, you see my name and your obsession returns. Do see a therapist. You only post when you see my name or my post.

KJ, I will quit playing BJ but the forums are another thing. You have done your part in warning me and I thank you. I find the forums more fun (thanks to 21Forme) and in a choice between forums and being an AP, I choose the latter. I don't need BJ, (it was always recreational, does not pay my bills)and my family will be happier when I take fewer BJ trips.

I will go on my already scheduled trip to LV next month, see what happens. I know the host at a CET property and intend to discuss how ridiculous it is that a stupid casino in the Midwest who does not know that I am a regular loser in Las Vegas has decided to put me in a data base. That property has already comped me a room for my upcoming February visit.

After February, I intend to play little or no BJ. The Forums, for 21Forme, I will participate.

Discussing your OSN debut with the host is not a good idea. The host has little power to help you. You need to discuss this issue directly with the shift manager or even better director of surveillance.

You have somehow reached the exact opposite conclusion as to what I was suggesting. You don't have to quit blackjack. This is NOT a career ending situation. You don't even have to quit posting on the forums.

I, who have continued to post, long beyond when I should have stopped, would not be so hypocritical as to suggest that. But take a break for the moment (from posting) and let things die down. Your posts of the past two days have just made things much worse, confirming who you are and now linking your handle to that name and picture.

Stop worrying about 21forme. He and what he thinks of you is not your biggest challenge right now. Focus on getting through this crisis. But you are right, I have done my part. You do what you want to do.

Zee, Let me explain how the databases work. Each of them has thousands of entries. Griffin still has entries from 20+ years ago of people who are dead.
The danger area is the new entries. They are fresh and what everyone notices, for short while, until their are new "fresh entries". Then they just become another "also ran" that nobody notices. o_O

I'll give you an example from my own history. A few years ago, I was backed off/barred from playing BJ on an out of town trip at a place now notoriously known as sweaty and an active participant of the databases. I thought "no big deal"....out of town. I returned to Vegas and was immediately backed off at 3 of the stores in my home rotation. I was in panic mode!

I thought this was the end for me. It wasn't! Things cool off. Last year I had 3 backoffs. My least amount in years! (in reality I had 2 backoff and one near backoff "heat issue", but I treat them all the same). This is just a temporary crisis, you need to work through and LEARN FROM. Just another hurdle in the life of blackjack. ;)

What crisis? the guy is 68 year old who has a young kid and is going to casinos several days a week, according to him. I think quitting this blackjack addiction is the best thing he could do. He has few good years left before he becomes demented (more than now) and his son goes to college (assuming he got most of his genes from the mother side). Spending more time with his kid is his best option.

What happened? Zee had a post in December about having a long win streak. Now he wants to quit? I must have missed something.

It isn't my place to suggest to anyone how they spend their time. There are plenty of full-time AP's with families and children that make a living APing and traveling. Do you tell them they should find another occupation and spend more time with their children? That is NOT my place. I don't know his financial situation. He has indicated he is supplementing retirement, as in he needs that additional income.

This is a blackjack forum and a blackjack / AP community. THAT is what I comment on.

As for what crisis...for someone playing blackjack for a living or even supplementing income, or I guess for that matter even as a hobby, an entry into the databases is a definite road block. Some more than others. This was a pretty devastating entry with a lot of information. I consider it a 'crisis'. Not a fatal blow, but a crisis, that one needs to navigate around. If I see someone navigating the wrong way, adding more problems, I want to offer suggestions based on my experiences.

With winning and playing rated and talking about it in great detail, comes hurdles. ;)

So he has to adapt. Stop playing rated, and not talk about it in great detail, although I doubt there's pit bosses and surveillance reading these posts; scared that he, as one particular individual, is going to come into their specific casino, and give them a beatdown that will get noticed by their bosses.

Zee, my question for you is, you aren't really going to let "them" win by quitting?

Jjp made a nice post. There is an element of addiction and lack of self discipline with me. I handle it by manipulation of the environment around me. To handle my temptation to sweets and desserts, I ensure there is no ice cream or candy in the refrigerator or home. To get my exercise, I have a friend pick me up to go to the gym.

I had moved to Nashville, TN as there were no casinos within 3 hours of My home and I could not get tempted. Because of family, I moved back to a town, where unfortunately, there are several casinos.

Now, with this event, it's likely countermeasures will be taken and I will not be able to head to the local casinos every day. It remains to be seen as to how I am treated during the occasional travel.

If I am reading you correctly you chose the former and not the latter right.

What you consider as ridiculous behavior by a supposed stupid casino in the Midwest, more than likely will be taken seriously by the host. Keep your mouth shut and not tell him anything. Also, be prepared that the free room offer could easily be reneged upon after the fact, especially if you put up a charge card for incidentals. Sorry, I need to add there is a possibility that security could throw you out of your room immediately in the middle of the night.

Absolutely... and also discuss with a casino dept suit; a shift manager would be good.
I truly want to hear the feedback, please.

I strongly agree with this. Do not mention it at all. You were not put in OSN by a CET property and there is a good chance they are not even aware of it. Just play unrated.

I once tried to talk my way out of a backoff and I didn't get anywhere. Well, it wasn't really a backoff, but a flat bet. I talked to the head guy, but made no headway.

Ok, it's time to close this thread. In about 3 months, I will report on how my life is changed (or not) with being placed into this database. Maybe the comp offers I get every month will stop soon. Maybe they will throw me out of a comped room. Maybe the minute I present a players card, they will back me off. Maybe I can continue playing everywhere anonymously.

Maybe my playing days are over. I was never a pro, never needed BJ income. Time will tell.

ZeeBabar, please stop crying and deal with it like a man.You not only sound like you feel you are a victim of discrimination who is deeply hurt like you were unjustly harmed and is also causing an interference in your lifestyle. When you started out almost 5 years ago going two to three days a week, I remember you always saying to the pit crews that you were a professional person who needed to relax, unwind, and socialize, and do not need the money. The sad part was and is I think you actually believed that situation would give you a free ride, completely untouched. Everyone who read your line knew it would not work, but evidently not you, after all, you knew the value of a free buffet. Please, listen to KJ.

The conclusion that it did not work is erroneous. I enjoyed the free room and comps and less scrutiny. I am about to find out the damage. It's poor advice to tell a newbie not to play rated. I still think it's okay to play rated BUT not all the time and not everywhere.

I am not crying about it. I will see how it plays out.
