Knowing which number a system favours tells you what it is built for.<\/p>\n<h3>\u0418\u0433\u0440\u043e\u0432\u0430\u044f \u044d\u0444\u0444\u0435\u043a\u0442\u0438\u0432\u043d\u043e\u0441\u0442\u044c (PE)<\/h3>\n<p>PE measures how well a count tells you when to deviate from basic strategy, from standing on 16 against a 10 to taking insurance. It reflects how closely the tags track the changing composition of the remaining deck for strategy decisions. About 0.70 is the practical ceiling for a single-level count; the highest strategy counts, such as Hi-Opt II and Omega II, sit near 0.67.<\/p>\n<h3>\u041a\u043e\u0440\u0440\u0435\u043b\u044f\u0446\u0438\u044f \u0441\u0442\u0430\u0432\u043e\u043a (\u0411\u041a)<\/h3>\n<p>BC measures how well a count tracks your true advantage, so it tells you when to raise your bet. It is the correlation between the system&#8217;s tags and the effect of removing each rank on the house edge. Strong betting counts approach 1.00: Hi-Lo is 0.9682 and Wong Halves reaches 0.99. Because most of a counter&#8217;s profit comes from bet sizing, BC is the number most systems optimise first.<\/p>\n<h3>\u0421\u0442\u0440\u0430\u0445\u043e\u0432\u0430\u044f \u043a\u043e\u0440\u0440\u0435\u043b\u044f\u0446\u0438\u044f (\u0421\u041a)<\/h3>\n<p>IC measures how well a count signals a profitable insurance bet, which depends almost entirely on the ratio of tens to non-tens left in the deck. A count that tags tens heavily, like Hi-Opt II, scores highest here.<\/p>\n<h2>How the calculation works<\/h2>\n<p>The calculator first centres your tags so the system is balanced, then measures how closely the balanced tag vector lines up with the published effect-of-removal values for each metric. BC and IC are that correlation directly; PE is a fixed transform of the playing correlation. The effect-of-removal coefficients come from Peter Griffin&#8217;s analysis, and the tool reproduces the standard Hi-Lo benchmark of PE 0.5114, BC 0.9682 and IC 0.7601 exactly, so the figures line up with the published literature.<\/p>\n<h2>Choosing a system<\/h2>\n<p>If you are starting out, a simple, high-BC count like Hi-Lo or KO gives you almost all of the available edge with the least mental load, which is why it is the system taught in our <a href=\"\/card-counting\/\">\u0440\u0443\u043a\u043e\u0432\u043e\u0434\u0441\u0442\u0432\u043e \u043f\u043e \u043f\u043e\u0434\u0441\u0447\u0451\u0442\u0443 \u043a\u0430\u0440\u0442<\/a>.
