Also, practice makes perfect. Play at the very very low stakes, get a feel for the game. If you've never played poker that much you have a lot to learn. I'd recommend playing very tight until you really get a feel for what is going on. A lot of book recommend agressive play, and I think that's good when you get a better feel for the game, but in online play, you can be profitable with tight play. Then as you get better, your profits increase as you become more aggressive...but if you play overly aggressive without the skill/experience to back it up, you'll lose lots of money quickly.
