Default When the tables are full...

Quite often I cannot find an open seat at any BJ tables. Well, maybe at a $50 min., but I don't feel like playing those .

In order to kill time, until I can find a seat, what would be the best replacement game, that still gives you a reasonable chance of making a few bucks? Is it craps (I'm thinking of betting the pass line), or maybe video poker, or something else?

Your opinions are very much appreciated, as always.

Some video poker games can be very good, better than BJ. But many aren't. You need to learn to read the paytables, which are the key to the game.
There are dozens ,if not more, variations of VP and each one has a seperate and distinct strategy.

Default Don

Find a jacks Or Better, 9/6 VP machine, craps pass or don't pass, come or don't come, or a 99% pay back slot.

If you want a good table game, try Pai Gow or Mini-Bac, slow, low HE. Should be able to stick around for awhile as you do overwatch on the BJ tables.

I've done a research, because I wasn't familiar with the term either. 9/6 means that the payout on full house and flush is x9 and x6, respectively, which is better than the other payout options, such as 8/5, or 7/5, for example.

Thanks for the advices, guys. I think I may want to try the 9/6 sometime, if I can find it.

Yes, I've heard that mini baccarat has low HE. The problem is I've never played it. I think that the rules are pretty simple though.

Baccarat and Craps have low HA, but make no mistake. Blackjack is the only beatable game in the casino, in the long term.

Well, the best chance to make money would involve a game where you could find an advantage.

It can be done with the few, mainly in Nevada, positive-payout video poker machines.

If you're like to lose less, craps and baccarat might be good choices.

Thanks for the explanation.
