Ultimate Blackjack Tour (UBT), debuting nationwide on CBS Saturday, September 16 (2:00 PM EDT, 11:00 AM Pacific) in the hour leading into the network’s college football broadcast, presents a brand new, fast-paced Elimination Blackjack™ competition where you’ll see your favorite professional card players sweating it out for 30 nail-biting hands that include three forced eliminations and “secret bets.” Also, for the first time ever, the dealer’s hole card is revealed to the TV audience.

“Some of the sharpest minds in the professional gaming community came together to make blackjack exciting for TV,” said UBT founder, expert gambler and 1994 WSOP Main Event winner Russ Hamilton. “The poker pros and blackjack players who have played Elimination Blackjack™ all agree that we have something very big on our hands, and now that our multi-million dollar, worldwide tour is in place, UBT is gearing up to be the next big craze in gaming.”

Although not official, I've been told that the premiere show is one on which I appear.

Regardless, I can assure you it will be an EXCITING hour of blackjack. Don't miss this!

Possible problem: In my market, the show will be preempted by a college football game! Yikes! Luckily, I get CBS on satellite as well, so I will be able to watch.

CBS, Saturday Sept 16th, 2 PM Eastern: Ultimate Blackjack Tour

Congrats Ken.

Very nice win Ken! I didn't start watching until the last 3-handed hand. That was a good tournament and an very interesting finish. I actually thought the show was pretty entertaining too.

I wish I could see the whole show, I wonder if the shows will re-air or be online at some point.

UBT's manager was on the Kenny Einiger/Joe Pane radio show Thursday night, and he implied that the shows are likely to be made available online for free.

I'll let you know if and when that happens.

I hope so..

I just went to the UBT website and there is currently nothing available.

I called the local station to no avail!

There was no one there. The local listing, the national listing, and the two local cable channels all showed the UBT was on. The printed paper listings and their on line listings also showed UBT (even during the air time!)

And now seeing others post about it!

The local CBS station will hear about this Monday upon opening!

This sux!!!

Very interesting debut.I loved it when Ken talked trash to that idiot at the end,and then pulled a miracle card to beat him.Loved watching Ken leap for joy while hollywood stood there with his hand out.
Wasn't crazy about the secret chamber but all in all a very good first show.

I actually like "Hollywood" Dave Stann. I was hoping for them to be the final two.

I saw the beginning of the show and didn't like it. The stage was too much....it was flashing lights and quick, jerky camera shots. I wanted to see the blackjack game played out but the show seemed intent on trying to dazzle the viewer with special effects, different camera angles and other gimmicks. For me, I would have been happier just to watch the game, the bets and the faces. Leave all the faux drama and contrived special effects on the curb next time.

Agreed. It was to much. The end, however, I felt was excellent. Make it 2 hours like the WPT, let us see everything, not the condensed verison, and cut the drama. Let the cards be the drama.

BTW, congrats to Ken on the win and the nice use of the secret bet.

To the last two posts. I understand what you are saying about letting the cards be the drama, but most of the people at home don't know anything about the game. So if they just showed the hands and the bets and didn't do anything to "spice" up the show they wouldn't get good ratings and there wouldn't even be a show. So you'll have to put up with the other drama if you want to keep seeing blackjack on TV.

I also was liked that Ken and HollyD ended up the final two. And HollyD is hardly an "idiot." It's an act, just like any card counter has an act, and it's worked very well for him. I've played straight BJ with HollyD and his casino comportment is quite different.

That aside, congrats on the win Ken. It was a Helluva last hand.

Yeah, if you think Hollywood is all talk and no game, he's accomplished exactly what he wants to do. He's a hell of a player, and one of the sharpest guys I know. It sure was sweet beating him though.

I thought they had made some much needed improvements over the other BJ tournament shows. Very nice win Ken, congrats.
