    Face-up Blackjack

If we could play a "face-up blackjack" in a way that I could always know what card is coming, what's the player advantage assuming heads-up and flat betting?

    Unbelievable

Pit15, Why would I lie? It's not my style and I can't figure out what can I get from doing this. Next time I'll ask the crew from the casino if the event ocurred in the same way the display showed. BJFan

    Unbelievable

Flash, All I can tell you is that I was playing BJ very close to the roulette table and the dealer told the players to look at the display of the roulette table and I could read the seven ocurrences of the 29. We kept talking about this all the afternoon. If it was an error of the display I...

    Unbelievable

It's not about BJ but worth mentioning it. Yesterday at my local store, number 29 in a single zero roulette landed 7 times in a row!!!! Have you heard about something like this? BJFan

    "Explanation of Blackjack Statistics"

Come on Flash1296, I'm sure you can do it again! I've read Modern Blackjack ed.II and I found it very interesting, but I guess that the document I'm asking for might be worth reading it, as I'm developing my own simulator and I need some information. Any contribution will be appreciated. BJFan

    Incredible ten splitter

No, the casino is in Punta del Este, Uruguay, a posh resort. I live in Argentina and houses don't have basements here, but we have Moms for sure!

    Incredible ten splitter

It's in South America, I was surprised too with this rule. It's an odd resplitting rule because you can only resplit your first card, not the second, third, etc. And you can resplit aces and hitting them too! It's a CSM game! And the ploppy also liked to split tens against a dealer ten!

    Incredible ten splitter

Last night a ploppy split 5 times a pair of tens against a 3. So he had 6 tens in six hands and finished with 16s to 19s. The dealer closed the round with a 20! All the bets gone! Very funny situation for everybody except for the ploppy!

    Optimal betting

For Kelly betting in blackjack we can define the optimal size of our unit bet as fB where B is our bankroll and f = (advantage of the game) / (variance of the game). But, if f is a fraction, how can it be that we get it dividing "units of bet" (advantage) by "units of bet" squared (variance)...

Question for Norm Wattenberger re CV Index Generator

Mikeyd: You should read Blackjack Attack 3, pages 370-378. That's an excellent explanation on calculating RA indexes. BJFan
