    Shoe counting

    The cards are placed in the shoe. You can see where the cut card is. As cards are removed from the shoe, the cut card moves toward the front of the shoe. At some point, you can’t see the cut card anymore. How many cards are left to be dealt? (OP is assuming all shoes are the same.)
