    Another crazy idea

I'll let you in on a little secret... The martingale system actually does slightly reduce the house edge over a flat-bettor. But we're talking less than 0.01%. This is because after loss, there is more likely to have been more small cards played in the hand. Similarly, a positive...

An example why casinos are going broke

Ok :) That one deserves a laugh... Tell him to play at the 4 Queens.

    Semi-Voodoo System

Of course I'm right... My system uses Card Counting to make money, and uses a martingale system as cover... The martingale system does NOT make money. You seem fixed on using your martingale system, and want to find a situation in which it will make money... It will make money if you only...

    The perfect shoe

Now that I read your OP again, that really was the perfect shoe. When the count jumps up early and I bet a little bigger, I secretly hope for a 6,5 vs a dealer 6, even though a blackjack would technically average more that hand. I enjoy the rare occasion when I can win, and be allowed to bet...

    Semi-Voodoo System

Nah... It's gold baby! :p I might actually try this sometime. I might even use a level 4 martingale so that on a rare occasion, I'm actually betting the same in a neg count as I would be for +2. With a level 4 martingale, doubling after a loss at a $5 minimum table, the average bet would...

    Semi-Voodoo System

Maybe try a huge spread of like 1-30 or more, where you play all and employ a 3 level martingale when the count's not in your favor. Thus, you are not always betting the min in the neg/neutral counts, but your average bet while martingling is actually your "min" bet of what is more...

An example why all casinos should offer Surrender

I love surrender In Stanford Wong's book he mentions that to a counter LS is about as good as DAS... But when you consider them both on a SCORE basis, LS is much better, and I find it adds more to my cover than it attracts attention when proper indices are used... Especially if the count...

Help me turn my $800 into $4000

My Apologies... Yes, that was meant to be funny... Don't wanna be costing you any sleep :( I guess anyone of us would be a good target for burglary... Didn't mean to single you out.

    Newbie question

Yes, almost always hit in these situations... Never stand, either hit or surrender if the count is at or above the index. A 16 vs 7 only needs an ace to significantly improve the chances of the hand.

Help me turn my $800 into $4000

Step 1: Make a phony flyer mentioning a 2-1 blackjack promo at an LV casino during a specific time. Step 2: Leave it on KJ's doorstep... Step 3: During the "specific time" break into KJ's house... He probably has $20k stuffed into a matress somewhere  Edit: Or maybe you...

    The perfect shoe

Again? You lucky bastard! Congrats!!! :) I don't know if it is ploppy thought that you should expect to sometime, return to EV... Unless you are somehow underestimating your EV. I was afraid to go on my Vegas trip and increase my bets because I had had an unusual winning streak...

    Dealer Peek on 10

So you think you can see dealer tells? I did at one point too, and I very well may have been for that day... But the situation never repeated itself. Check http://www.blackjackinfo.com/bb/showthread.php?t=18994 ... Check the cards, and how the dealer is peeking at his cards...

    Arizona Casinos

Maybe so, but it's easier to get noticed at the South location... They only have 2 small pits... Lotta old people too, games progress slow. Both 3D games can easily be beaten with a 1-6 spread. A 1-8 spread makes at least $65/100 hands on average with a $25 unit. They are sensitive to...
