The Showboat was my go-to place up until this spring-- the rooms are comparable to the ones they'd give me at Harrah's. The hotel itself isn't as nice, but the location is a lot more convenient (meaning you aren't stuck paying $9 for a grilled cheese sandwich if you want a midnight snack.)
