I was wondering about that too. Now if it were 11v10, or even 11v9, then I can see how that makes sense.

I use the regular hi-lo RC (with 10s and aces both counted as -1) to determine my bet just like you normally would. When I make index plays (say 16v10) I use the hi-lo RC without counting aces as -1. Not sure if there is more you can do with ace count. That's all I do.

Really? Not that I don't believe you by any means, I'm just curious, where are these casinos? I'm very surprised to hear there are casinos that bar mid-deck entry in six decks. Seems like a bad business plan since it takes so long to shuffle and a lot of people might not want to wait.

You are referring to six deck, correct? I've never heard of anyone getting upset with someone for coming into the game on a six deck. That's what everyone just does. Gamblers and APs alike. Standard procedure in any casino I've ever been to (mostly Laughlin, Vegas, and Arizona).
