Open season for some robbers in Trump Casinos

Yes, it upstairs in the convention room area. It is not as obvious as the walkway to showboat. There is no sign or anything. It is at the end of hallway near the Safari Steakhouse, kind of looks like you are walking through a service door that you aren't supposed to. It takes you into Resorts...

    pair of 8's against A-4

Yeah, I had a feeling that was the wrong move. I got excited about catching the hole card and probably overthought it. Should have just stuck to basic descision. Thanks

Open season for some robbers in Trump Casinos

There is about 25 ft of boardwalk near entrance to Caesars that feels relatively safe during the day. The north end of the boardwalk has become quite dangerous over the last few months. I've been going to AC about 4 times a year for past 10 or 12 years and it is scarier now than I ever...

    pair of 8's against A-4

What is the correct play in this situation? I was dealt 8-8, dealer had Ace showing and accidently flashed his hole card which was a 4. It was a 6d s17 das game, surrender allowed. Had hi-lo TC around +3. I deliberated for moment and decided to take my chances with standing. My quick...

Doubling down 11 and getting an ace

I've struggled with similar circumstances in the past, don't get discouraged. Someone suggested to me that I research "selective memory" which I did. It is a fact that you will remember, with bitter detail, each of these crushing defeats while memories of all the minor wins and positive outcomes...

    H17 spreading at MS ?

Just got home from MS (in CT) and saw 8 tables that have just been re-done with new H17 felts. For anyone unfamiliar, H17 in CT has been limited to the $5 pit at MS only, all other tables were S17. This is first I am aware of H17 spreading out into other pits here.

    Backed off!!!!

The requirement for 52 card decks is spelled out in section 523 where it discusses equipment conditions. The pertinent paragraph is copied below: 523.15. Cards; physical characteristics. (a) Cards used to play table games authorized under this subpart, must be in decks of 52 cards with each...

    PA Sands Horror Story

I may be missing something here, but why was he an idiot for splitting tens against a 6? I personally don't do it because it is too hot of a move but doesn't the index for correctly making that split start around TC+4 ?? I am going to assume that you must have had a true count of at least that...

Anyone else ever mess up like this?

I was playing early yesterday morning, probably had not had enough coffee yet so I was not as sharp as I could have been. Another player drew a five card 15, composed of three aces and two low cards that I don't recall exactly, I think it was an 8 and a 4. He had trouble calculating his total...

    Legal documentation?

Very true, any agreement between two parties contstitutes a legal contract. However, any contract is only as binding on the parties as it is thorough in spelling out expectations, metrics, consequences and penalties. A proffesional contract, prepared by someone well versed in all the legal...

    Mohegan Sun

I was only there for a few hours early in the morning but I'd be suprised if the casino did not make out pretty well on this promotion. I definitely got caught up in it and got burned pretty bad. I am normally a very conservative player with strict stop-loss and modest stop-win points and I had...

    Mohegan Sun

I gave it a good shot but came out a loser. Got a little too aggressive tripling things that I normally wouldn't even have doubled, like A9 vs 5.....worth the shot? I don't know. I got beat alot on stuff like that but I still think it was worth the risk at the time. Other people were doing...

    Doubling Bet everytime you lose...??

I once lost 14 consecutive hands. Should be a rare occurence but it is possible. If one were following this progression it would require that you bet roughly $80,000 on the 15th hand with no more guarantee of winning that hand than any of the 14 that preceded it.

    You guys at FW, you!

Sorry to see this go. I wasn't always a fan of it as I had a couple bad experiences where people backlined my bets and got hostile upon not approving of my moves. However, I have grown to see it as a positive opportunity, especially when casino is overcrowded. I think I know why they are taking...
