Right..Im a newbie.
Mike & David offer a training course at blackjackinstitute
and seymon dukach offers a training course at blackjack science.
If they were all from the same team would there methods of play be any diffrent from each other? And which would be the better of the 2 systems to get..
any info would be appreciated.

There have been multiple different MIT blackjack teams over time.

I know nothing about the courses though, as I prefer learning by trial and error.

And don't forget Andy Bloch's DVD!

I'm sure all of those DVDs are good, but I would recommend starting with the free web resources listed in the thread above. Pretty much everything you’ll need to know about BJ can be found on the web for free, although buying a few good books can speed up the process.

I can only speak to the course offered by BJI.

It is quite good for someone just starting or someone who is looking for a way to practice. A way to practice meaning; a progressive system that takes one through checkouts of their skill such as, BS, Counting, TC conversion etc. It covers all aspects of play, counting (Hi-Lo) and money management.

The course that BJS offers I believe, stresses AP.

I know this is an old thread. But Semyon Dukack is selling worthless garbage .mp3's on his website for $1.00

If he were profitable at card counting, then he certainly would not be trying to nickel and dime strangers while trying to sell online audio for $1.00 each.

And besides, you can't understand a word he says. He doesn't speak English. He is a horrible teacher. Don't buy anything from him. You will be more confused before you started. I think he's a Muslim terrorist or something.

He's selling bicycle parts for a living. Don't buy into his card counting gimick. You will lose your money.

This would be my advice too. I would add that there is a lot of useful info on this site including practice tools, info on which books to read, etc. You might also want to consider getting some practice software. Consider spending your money on that rather than a DVD. As do many others here, I use Casino Verite by QFIT.

I'm not going to defend some of the garbage that man has marketed, but he makes his money doing other things these days.

What garbage are you referring to? I have both of Semyon's DVDs which include the counting game covered on the first DVD as well as the advanced techniques on the second DVD. I found them both quite helpful and insightful. In particular, I liked Semyon's discussion and illustration of the concept of SD and EV as well as his emphasis on record keeping for a serious player.

Semyon is the real deal when it comes to BJ and the fact that his team Amphibian Investments won millions of dollars is a testament to that fact. Please quit it with the bashing.

BTW, I also own the home training course offered from BJI. If you are trying to learn the counting game, and can only afford one product, I would go with the manual and DVD offered by BJI. The DVD is the best out on the market because it shows you what to practice and how to practice. I really learned my counting game thanks to BJI. Just the concept of meaningful pairs reduces the counting work by nearly 50%.

As for Andy Bloch, I own both of his blackjack DVDs and learned something from each of them. The first DVD is not as good quality as the second DVD but it includes the number plays. The second DVD delves into team play and shows some cool strategies.

Remember, all three of these MIT players managed a professional team at one point or another and has something to offer. If you are open minded you can probably get something from all of them.

I've no question what-so-ever that Semyon was the real deal back when he was playing. The crap i was referring to was specifically those two mp3's he sells on his site that are pretty much a waste of life listening to. There is nothing valuable in either of them. Alongside this, while i agree with your assessment of the value of certain parts of Semyon's DVDs, his advanced techniques DVD is worth little more than a cursary overview of how they are performed. Frankly there are more holes in his performance and description of those techniques than many sieves.
Mike and Dave's DVD i really like. Clearly more time and money went into the production, but it is also a complete beginners guide, so not particularly useful to anyone else. That said i would actually argue that it is one of the best starting places a counter could get.
AB's DVD was interesting. I'm not sure how valuable - other than providing a visual demonstration of how BP call in play works. I think it was targetted more at fans of 21 who were looking for entertainment rather than information.
There is something to be taken from each, but you should also know what you're looking for before you buy.

It's your high intellectual level and world knowledge that makes me feel the need to ask every other poster to not to interact with you.
Oh and btw - i've reported your post for continued racist content. Not acceptable.

No real need to even ask RJT, his posts say more than enough.

due to posting continuous offensive posts, newbie is banned for three days.
i suggest you unban newbie right now before you are issued a summons for a lawsuit for defamation, slander and harassment. You can't just ban somebody publicly online for no reason then come on this forum and publicly insult the person.

I have already spoken to my attorney and a lawsuit is being compiled as we speak. This message is a public announcement as your warning to unban the nickname and apologize for your wrong doing!!!

Good luck with that lawsuit, you'll need it.
